John C Jackson Empty John C Jackson

Sun 02 Oct 2016, 11:30 pm
John C Jackson left Lafayette in 1956 and headed to Dallas searching for venture capital to finance what he called "experiments he was conducting on degenerative diseases".  The FBI sought no further clarification on that, and the term "degenerative diseases" leaves it wide open. It includes heart disease, cancer, muscular dystrophy,  arthritis and many others. Clearly he had no formal medical qualifications.

Upon arriving, he found his connections were no longer interested and at 3 am he found himself in Phil's Delicatessen. It wasn't long before Ruby also walked in and struck up a conversation with Jackson, whereupon Jackson explained his dilemma. According to Jackson, Ruby handed him the keys to his apartment, which Jackson accepted - and ended up staying a year, and during that time, continued trying to raise capital for his experiments. He also did some work at the Vegas Club, mostly on weekends.

Jackson was the inventor of Miniron - mineral water with added enzymes which Ruby unsuccessfully tried to market as a health drink.

Jackson also advised the FBI that he had been arrested in Aztec, NM in 1958 regarding an overdue hire car. He further stated that he had been interviewed by the FBI at that time.

It can be no coincidence that Seth Kantor, in his book on Ruby, stated that Ruby was arrested in 1958 in Aztec, NM and that rumors around Dallas suggested it was drug related.

It is obvious that Ruby and Jackson were arrested together - yet Kantor does not mention Jackson and Jackson does not mention Ruby when the arrest is discussed.

How was Jackson surviving that year on occasional weekend work? The whole 3 am chance meeting with Ruby seems like it was possibly staged, or simply made up to cover the fact that Ruby was Jackson's contact all along.

He was president of a company in Louisiana called the National Research Corporation (NRC). This company took the same name as a company in Massachusetts. The Mass. NRC had developed powdered orange juice for the Army. It used venture capital to get ideas from the drawing board into production, at which time, a new company would form around that product (as in the example given - the Minute Maid Co. was formed around the powdered juice). The Massachusetts company ended up with military contracts for development of chemical, radiological and bio-weapons. The President, Richard Stetson Morse, ended up Asst Secretary, US Army Research and Development, resigning in 1961 in protest over Kennedy's policies. https://books.google.com.au/books?id=xT4rAAAAYAAJ&lpg=PA206&dq=richard%20stetson%20morse%20%22national%20research%20corporation%3A%22&pg=PA206#v=onepage&q=richard%20stetson%20morse%20%22national%20research%20corporation:%22&f=false

Were the two NRC's connected? Apart from having the same name, both relied on venture capital, one developed powdered orange juice, the other, a health drink, one was involved in chemical, radiological and biological weapons research, the other was conducting experiments on "degenerative diseases" - which may fit with bioweapons research. Indeed, the Aztec bust - rumored to be drug related - was possibly to collect substances for such experiments.

Thanks mate! Jackson, I should add, was named by the HSCA on a list of people of paramount interest to them...
