From Lee's diary:
Jan. 4-31. "I am starting to reconsider my desire about staying. The work is drab; the money I get has nowhere to be spent. No nightclubs or bowling alleys, no places of recreation except the trade union dances. I have had enough."
Okay so hitting the clubs was an Oswald pastime.
What? No Nightclubs like The Carousel in Russia?

Has anyone ever looked into the possibility that the brown paper bag contained a bowling ball?

Could this be what we see in Prayer Man?Lee Farley wrote:Has anyone ever looked into the possibility that the brown paper bag contained a bowling ball?

Good pick up about nightclubs.Ed. Ledoux wrote:From Lee's diary:

A timeline:
Oct 1960: Mikhail Platovsky: CIA/NTS REDCAP/REDSOX parachuted in to Minsk to recruit cells targeting "promiscuous" types, is arrested
Dec 1960: Soviet Union phase of REDCAP REDSOX program terminated
Late Dec, 1960: Oswald starts thinking about returning State-side AND suddenly seems very interested in marrying a Soviet Citizen asap
https://reopenkennedycase.forumotion.net/t46-mikhail-platovsky
eventually does return State-side with wife and baby and hooks up in Dallas with CIA/NTS White Russians.

Mikhail Platovsky
...he was instructed to contact "morally loose elements" ....
So similar folks to Ruby and his dancers?
Oswald in the doorway appears to be polishing up an apple?
Perhaps he was inside the lunch room and heard the commotion of folks seeing the motorcade coming. Then goes out to see what the noise is about and sees Shelley etc. Polishes apple and eats apple while watching the show.

From one of the news stories:
Tass said Platovsky was equipped with false credentials, radio transmitting equipment, ciphers and codes. It said he was to collect data on Soviet military units, important defense and industrial installations, rocket silos, air defense bases, and other economic and defense information. The agency added that he was to go so far as to contact "morally loose elements" and enlist them for espionage.
Such people would be targeted for recruitment due to being open to blackmail. They could also be used as honey-traps.
Marina was considered to be "morally loose" back then according to various reports. She was also not a happy little communist pharmacist. Not the card carrying type at all.
Oswald was working in an "industrial installation" of known interest to US agencies and military. Platovsky had radio transmitting equipment, ciphers and codes. Oswald was playing around with radios ciphers and codes.

That's possible, Ed. Any such scenario is far closer than what were told happened. In fact, if all we can be sure of is that the official version is a lie, that really is all we need. Or maybe I'm just all PM'ed out and can't keep up any more! I'll be revisiting my old research on it side by side with the PM solution/s when I get to that part of the book. Right now, am trying to work my way through NY 1953...
