    Hello, Goodbye Empty Hello, Goodbye

For some reason, this tune has been on my mind the past few days.

    Hello, Goodbye Hello_10

The Beatles said hello when they came on the scene 50 years ago this month. By the end of the decade, it was goodbye. The 1960s was a hello, goodbye decade as well. We've never been the same since.

Hello, Goodbye Empty Re: Hello, Goodbye

My personal theme is from "Good Morning, Good Morning":

I've got nothing to say but it's OK.

Sometimes I use the John Cage variant:

I've got nothing to say, and I'm saying it.

P.S., I like the analogy with the 60s, Stan.  The Beatles don't want to say Goodbye, they prefer Hello.  But that didn't happen with the 60s, to which we seem to have said a categorical Goodbye.

P.P.S.  "I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in, and stops my mind from wandering where it will go ..."
