Alan, there were more than 3 boards used day. Most witnesses say Dangerfield used 4. They also recall Dangerfield clearly braking on the first board. Then there is the disputed SBT. (Single Board Theory). Dangerfield is purported to have bypassed the 2nd board straight onto the 3rd. None of that matches up with the film. Also some of his jokes are missing. But the real clincher is there is no way hottie Sally Kellerman would be attracted to an ugly bastard like Dangerfield. Only kooks think it possible.
They had the technology to do all that back then.

Good points Paul. But if the footage is real, it's Bob's next dive.

Terry, just to get back to the serious topic at hand, I predict the U.S team will upset Belgium today. Belgium is an extremely talented side but they are young and methinks their time is not quite here just yet. The U.S team are playing with plenty of fight and the support they are getting from back home will encourage them. They're a passionate side that can play some real good football. I've enjoyed watching them play. Dempsey has been outstanding.

Thanks for getting us focused, Paul.

This morning, as I arrived at work, there was a bit of a kerfuffel. Several of the staff wanted the boss to roll out the big screen so the staff could root our team to glory.

Boss said he didn't know what all the fuss was about. And said "no" of course.

Some people just don't get it, I guess.

Re: 2014 World Cup - Predictions

That is a shame. This is a great sporting occasion and its lost on some. Look, I know it can seem over the top to a few that don't get it, but it only happens every 4 years and I regard it as an indulgence albeit an expensive one. Sure Brazil should care more about its social conditions and it is vulgar that they have spent unnecessary billions on it. I don't disagree with that at all but at the same time its great entertainment and passion. We could at least try and salvage something out of it FFS. The world is screwed up enough as it is and its only a game. I know all that.
If I was running FIFA I'd award the WC under the conditions that a country should not have to build a single stadium and use what is already there in its infrastructure. That is how it use to be. These new stadiums will become white elephants after this WC.

Crazy Bob has said he'll go and take them down with his blunderbuss...

Upon hearing of their existence he allegedly shouted "the only good white elephant, is a dead white elephant."

The Five and Dime Ozzies vs the billion dollar Frogs - 0-0 at half time.

Prediction: France cannot win the world cup. They are getting belted t every opportunity. They will be too sick and sorry to go all the way.

Shit, the shitty el-cheapo park side might even end up winning on the scoreboard as well as in the clinches.

France 2 - 1 . We wuz robbed. First gaol for France off a dubious penalty, second goal hit the cross bar and just bounced an inch over the line.

Should have been a draw. All we get is a moral victory after dire predictions we would be beaten 5 or 6  to 0.

Don't be turning up your nose at moral victories. We Paddies have been living on them since the Norman invasion.
