Is this guy a young Richard Chamberlain who played the forgetful Jason Bourne once upon a time?

Not sure about the "bluesy" 60's tv show if I am right.

A good guess but no. I gave two important clues. The show is obscure, but it developed somewhat of a cult following over the years.

I just Googled "blues tv show cult 1960's" and came up with this:

I am not sure if that's cheating or not nowadays, Stan.

All's fair in love and war. Well done!

Thirteen episodes of Coronet Blue starring Frank Converse were filmed in 1965 and were intended to be shown during the 1965-66 season. They never found a spot for the show until they used it as a summer replacement in 1967. It was popular, but by then Converse had committed to other shows, so no further shows were made and the whole thing was scrapped.

It was about a guy who has amnesia and can't remember who he is, only the words "Coronet Blue." He soon learns he is the target of assassination by a mysterious group of killers. The whole show is about trying learn his identity and the meaning of "Coronet Blue." Because the show was never completed, these mysteries were left unsolved and people were left hanging.

Many years later, the series creator said that Converse was not really an American after all, but a Russian who had been trained to appear like an American. He belonged to a spy unit called "Coronet Blue," but when he decided to defect, the Russians drugged him which caused his amnesia, and then tried to kill him.

I was 14 when this show aired and I never forgot the theme song.

The premise sounds pretty good. Much more interesting than some of the crap tv series we're getting lately.

A lot of the episodes are on youtube and there are some dvd quality rips that can be downloaded on some of the torrent sites I subscribe to. I think I'll give it a go. I love stuff from the 60's.
