Still Here

Post by Stan Dane on Sun 07 Aug 2016, 10:00 am

We can't be shut down or silenced. Like Prayer Man, ROKC is still here. And we learn from experience.

Hopefully it will be be sorted out soon and the forum will be back.I think it has something to do with bandwidth issues.

All I have been able to get out of Webs so far is that  it was suspended due to a " potential violation of the Webs, Inc Terms of Service".

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with bandwith.

This could take some time to sort out.

Thanks for the fighting spirit guys. I'll do what I can with Webs but I don't think I'm up to doing much more than that. If worst comes to worst, I will try and rescue whatever I can from the site.

Nice of them to offer a full and frank explanation for taking such a draconian measure!
Wouldn't be surprised if Webs office wear includes flip flops and kilts.

Yes, and employment carries prohibition from cutting one's hair (or cleaning it) or bathing in general.

I wonder about the integrity of the Webs people. Surely shutting the site down while they investigate is a bit harsh... guilty before proven innocent.

And apparently - since it has been a couple of days already - they must be working feverishly at Mingus-speeds to either find the violations to the TOS or attempting to re-write the damned thing to include whatever "violation" has been imagined.

Webs, like Mingus, are a bunch of TOSsers.

ZenWebs

To wear the flip flops, you must be the flip flops
To wear the kilt, you must be the kilt
To move at Mingus speed, you must be the Mingus
To look like a POS, you must be a POS

Something like that.

You've got more pressing concerns at this stage, Greg so take it easy for now. I am personally glad we're back here tbh. If you are able to salvage the content great but if not we'll renovate this place to its previous glory. If you are able to unlock it in order to accept new members that would be great. We can build it up from there. Webs inc can go to hell from here on.

Has Webs offered up an explanation yet? Or are we deemed not worthy.

Webs caved in. It's as simple as that. They should have least issued a warning.
