recent pop up

Post by Admin on Tue 05 Apr 2011, 1:45 pm

The pop up which recently appeared here asking for log on details was not -- repeat NOT a result of this, or anyone else's site being attacked. Nor was it in any way, shape or form, a threat or a phishing exercise.

The creator of this skin apparently "borrowed" an element used in this skin by hyperlinking to where it is hosted by another site. As this is a popular skin, it was using a lot of the other hosts bandwidth - so they put that pop up in place to stop him. Now that they realise the pop up has been appearing on every site using the skin, the have taken it down pending the creator of the skin fixing the problem at his end. If it does come back, we can either put up with it's nuisance value, or I can swap skins. Probably the latter... though I really like the look of this skin...

Anyhow, hope that clears things up.
