Lee and Marina "not separated" according to RP
Sun 02 Apr 2017, 10:58 am
From Marguerite's testimony
So Tommy Thompson started to interview Mrs. Paine. He said, "Mrs. Paine, tell me, are Marina and Lee separated, since Lee lives in Dallas?"
She said, "No, they are a happy family. Lee lives in Dallas because of necessity. He works in Dallas, and this is Irving, and he has no transportation, and he comes every weekend to see his family."
---------------------
He lived in Dallas because he worked in Dallas and had no transportation. Except on weekends, which Buell didn't mind because it wasn't putting him out any.
But of course, the same would apply if Buell was providing a lift daily. He still wouldn't be put out. Texas is a lot like parts of Australia. And I lived in those types of places all through my childhood. In any similar situation here, the offer would have been made to give a lift every day. The person getting the lift might be expected to put something toward the petrol (gas) bill, but wouldn't necessarily be asked to.
Over time, the narrative on the Oswald's would evolve however, from that early portrait of a happily married couple separated temporarily due to circumstance...

Why would a bus ride to Irving daily be so hard???
Might take an extra 20 minutes a day outta your life and 23 cents.... less if you had bought a yearly bus pass ..?
Seems Buell enjoyed the company... though they didnt talk much...

Interesting that the narrative would be happy family in the fist place, coming from RP one might expect her to back stab the couple from the start
Thsnks Greg.
Cheers, Ed

I'm guessing she still had her eye on Marina and as always, if you want to know which way the RP wind was really blowing, it was a case of ignore what I say - watch what I do.Ed. The backstabbing was added at no extra charge once it was clear Marina was not coming back.
