First topic message reminder :

The Most Incriminated Man In the World.

All fun aside the new CTKA article was pointed out by Bart.

http://www.ctka.net/2015/JeffCarterBYP4.html

One point made was,
30) If the backyard photos were faked, it means that all items within the photo were deliberately chosen by the forgers. The odd inclusion on the Oswald figure is then the pistol. It invokes the Tippit slaying, but how could the Tippit slaying be anticipated months ahead? Perhaps a shootout with the pistol-carrying assassin was the anticipated event.

Was slaying of Tippit with an automatic pistol changed to match the picture of a revolver. More likely they knew LHO had purchased a pistol in Fort Worth.

Or were the photos composited onto an empty backyard photo after Tippits murder thus the need for a pistol wearing murderer.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 1backy10

When you examine the photos the shadows under the stairs do not change yet the shadow of LHO does, denoting time between images.
This would lend credence to Oswald's being composited onto a single image. See images below.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 2-133a10backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 3-133b10
Again the stairs shadow is the same, note its appearance on the blanket etc. yet the "oswald" shadow has changed implying time between photos.

In fact the shadow of the rifle is at a different angle than the holder of rifle in second pose.

Of note is the bag or sack, or "blanket" possibly used to carry the rifle to the location, under the stairs by the post. Possibly a connection to the baby blanket later claimed to hold a disassembled rifle.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ0Ws8LTadNjjep1yrsO2KI3y1LhcjlSp-XmJCJd-H3M0qu6sMk

In this image is a black 'thing' sticking out of the fence known as the black dog nose. It is likely light leak from the compositing process.

No black sports shirt with two white buttons was not on clothing inventory of LHO.

Do the black pants look like dress pants or more like work pants?
backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 Blackp10

Do you think these are black dress pants?

Please respond to the questions raised first, then we can expand the post to other areas of the BYPs.

Cheers, Ed

  • December 1988: A photo is taken at Bridgewood Motel of Judi as Symbianese Liberation Army member holding a Uzi. The photo was taken  by Darryl Cherney, and was intended to be used for an album cover (the album was to be of songs performed by Bari and Cherney titled THEY DON'T MAKE HIPPIES LIKE THEY USED TO). The Uzi was supplied by Irv Sutley.

  • Early 1989Irv Sutley (as we'll soon see, Irv became suspect in the bombing) sends the photo to the Anderson Valley Advertiser "as a joke".

  • Late 80's: Judi has become close friends with Anna Marie Stenberg. Both are in process of divorcing physically abusive husbands & share their stories.

  • May 24, 1990: Judi and Darryl are bombed and the FBI immediately accuses them of being responsible. Also FBI is on the scene within minutes.

  • May 29, 1990LORD'S AVENGER letter sent to Mike Geniella at the SANTA ROSA PRESS DEMOCRATin Ukiah. It appears to be written by a Christian fascist and gives details of the bomb placed in Judi's car. The writer admits to planting the bomb.

  • June 6, 1990ZORO letter sent to Mike Geniella at the PRESS DEMOCRAT and District Attorney Chris Carpenter for Alameda county. It accuses Darryl of being the bomber.

  • June 9, 1990: Photo of Judi with Uzi appears in the PRESS DEMOCRAT. The article says that a police informant sent a copy of the photo to the Ukiah police chief about one year before the bombing. Judi later accuses Irv of doing this. Irv denies it. Judi becomes convinced that Irv was among those responsible.

Not quite the same thing because the photo was real, but taken for an innocent purpose, but never used for that, instead being used as evidence against them as eco-terrorists.

Mrs. Garner, the landlady, remembered Ruth Paine’s visits from observing her station wagon parked out front. She did not see Paine personally, but told the Warren Commission that her husband did.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 19RPainesketchNO
Ruth Paine sketched the Magazine St layout for the Warren Commission
Mr. LIEBELER - Did your husband see that person?
Mrs. GARNER - Yes; my husband.
Mr. LIEBELER - At this time.
Mrs. GARNER - Yes; my husband saw her and spoke to her. I never did see her.
Mr. LIEBELER - You say your husband had talked to her. Did he tell you what she had said?
Mrs. GARNER - No; I never asked him and he never said nothing. (WC April 6, 1964)
At the close of her testimony, Mrs Garner is addressed by Liebeler: “I do want to thank you for the patience that you and your husband have shown to me and for the cooperation you have given us in coming down here and testifying. On behalf of the Commission I want to thank you both very much.” If Mr Garner had testified and perhaps been asked the circumstance of his conversation with Ruth Paine it is not in the record. Despite his apparent presence during his wife’s appearance before Liebeler, there is no transcript of any interview with Jesse Garner from April 6, even as it would have been as relevant, if not more so, than what his wife could offer. Instead, a brief affidavit focused specifically and exclusively on his contacts with Lee Oswald is executed on May 3, 1964.
The New Orleans photo set is not listed among the group of photographs shown Marina Oswald on January 31, 1964. The photo set is listed and identified as among the group of photographs shown to Marina on March 20, a group which included many photographs belonging to the Paines.
If the Imperial Reflex camera was not Oswald’s - and the evidence assembled by the Warren Commission and the HSCA does little to install confidence in this assertion - its provenance can be located in circles close to Oswald, as seen with the backyard photos and the New Orleans set,15and can be linked, directly or indirectly, with Ruth Paine.

The presence of radical left wing literature in the photos also helped solidify a portrait of Oswald as a dangerous communist. Curry’s misreading of a newspaper banner - Be Militant instead of The Militant - is indicative of a particular frame of reference, and explains a note jotted by reporter Seth Kantor: “Ask Fritz ... 501 Elm is place that processed photo. What are details of photo (showing gun & Daily Worker head: “Be Militant.” (CE Kantor 3)1

Robert Oswald would claim he “had never made this camera available to authorities before February 24, 1964, because he had never been asked for it previously and he could see no evidentiary value ... of this cheap camera ... He stated that it had never occurred to him that anyone would be interested in the camera.” (CE2557) This is after he had been specifically interviewed about and shown photos of cameras (February 16). It would also turn out to be the second instance in which a subjective judgment apparently kept this camera away from the sweep of the investigation. Marina Oswald temporarily stayed with Robert Oswald in February 1964, coinciding with the FBI’s determined efforts. She was thereby in the same house as the Imperial Reflex and, a week later, she suddenly recalled the camera was “aluminum” colored and that it was sighted “by looking down into the viewer”.6

Serving as an example of a photo “entirely consistent” with the Imperial Reflex is a photograph taken in New Orleans, JFK Exhibit F-189, in which Oswald’s young daughter June is pictured posing before the screened porch in the courtyard of the Magazine Street apartment. Numbered pointers show identified scratches or markings which appear to match the scratches and markings found on the backyard photos. This photograph is one of a New Orleans set, “family-type snapshots” which include photos that could be described as “Marina Oswald playing with a child” (and a set to which negatives were recovered). Of the other photographs specifically mentioned in the Kirk’s description of the Oswald photographs, the known snapshots of “Lee Oswald holding an infant” originate from Russia, while the “scenes of an older child and a baby in a crib” seem to refer to separate photos of either an older child or a baby in a crib which originate from Russia and later a few from Dallas and New Orleans. According to Robert Oswald, the Imperial Reflex (or whatever “American camera” Lee Oswald owned) stayed with him until Lee’s return to Fort Worth in 1962 and so could not have been used in Russia.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 8-JFKExhibit189

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 7-133markings

And this:

On March 19, 1964 FBI agents again visited Marina Oswald to exhibit for her identification another group of photographs, 448 in total - of which about 300 were determined to belong to the Paines. A different filing system again is used to list and describe the photographs (CIA Oswald 201 file Volume 32). Of this group - approximately one hundred and fifty Oswald photos, with many duplications from the previous presentations - only six are linked to the first four months of 1963: one photo from Elsbeth Street (65-7), three of June Oswald at the Neely address (B3-13, B3-17, B3-29),and the two backyard photos (D33-16, D33-17).9
From the record, excluding the backyard photos, there appear to be only six Oswald family-type snapshots from the first months of 1963 and, from the record, very few others from Oswald’s entire stay in Dallas in 1962-63. Oswald was known to complain that he couldn’t find the proper film for his Russian camera, but he seems to have been adverse to using his “American camera” despite having a young child, the subject of most of the few photos which do exist.

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 13Neelybalcony2

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 12Neelybalcony1
backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 14CE133-A&B

None of the photos in the record from this time period, including the photos of the Walker house attributed to Oswald, have the dimensions or borders of the backyard photos known as 133-A and 133-B. The “drugstore” finishing is unique to these photos.10 The automated machines of the era maneuvered an exposed roll of film to fix the negatives and then create the prints, so it is likely the backyard photos were originally processed using this method.

So Robert is shown a picture, taken with A camera, of Lee with a pistol and rifle.
What camera did Robert assume took these, and as he stated he knew Lee owned it before Marine Corp (active duty?) and held it for his Russian return.
Was Ruth setting up Robert perhaps.
McCabe was in a small one car garage with Rose, Adamcik and searched two boxes a suitcase and couple of seabags,,, whilst they take note of a rifle toting Oswald in pictures and gather EVERY other piece of photographic equipment, even the Paines photog belongings.... yet McCabe acts like the two boxes were such that one might easily miss this important item in lieu of the BYP finds.
Yeah not believing it.
And the timing of his recollections and Ruth's call...far too coincidental.
Cheers, Ed

Seth Kantor writes down in his notes:

backyard - Back Yard Photography - Page 4 3KantorEx3

1952 – The TSBD management and clerical personnel at Pacific Avenue building relocated to the first floor of 501 Elm St (the Dal-Tex building). At some point, Jack Cason decides to lease the building across the street, 411 Elm St. There is some confusion about when this happened. O.V. Campbell told William Weston that this happened around 1958. Spaulding Jones, former branch manager of MacMillan Publishing, thought the move to 411 took place in 1957 or 1958.

1960 - “The school depository firm moved in in 1960 and took a 15 year-lease. It was previously occupied by a wholesale grocery firm.” (Dallas Morning News 11/24/63)

1961 Nov 14 – the Sexton company vacates the 411 Elm St building. (William Weston; date from Ted Leon, former branch manager in Dallas 1961-64; he kept all his pocket calendars from work). According to Thomas Butler, who became the Sexton branch manager in 1964, the building remained vacant for about a year after his company moved out. Months of renovation for new offices would be necessary before the TSBD could move in. A dumb waiter is installed for the first four floors. A passenger elevator for the office floors is built. (Weston)

1962 January – the TSBD acquires the 411 Elm St location, leasing it from D.H. Byrd (SS report CO-2-34030 12/7/1963) The Polk’s criss-cross 1962 business directory shows that the TSBD was still listed as having an address on the first floor of 501 Elm St (Dal-Tex Bldg). The same directory lists the 411 Elm St building as vacant. The 1963 directory lists the book companies at 411 Elm. Also that year the first floor of the Dal-Tex become vacant. (William Weston)

1963 Oct 15 – LHO is hired at the TSBD

1963 – “The Texas School Book Depository is a privately-owned firm engaged in the warehousing and shipping of textbooks for various publishers. The books are shipped to schools in Texas and surrounding states. The firm presently occupies a building at 411 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas, and has occupied the building since January 1962. Prior to that time, the firm was located at 501 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas. The presently occupied building is leased from Mr. D. Harold Byrd, 6909 Vassar, Dallas, Texas, who has owned the building for many years. The officers of this company are Mr. Jack C. Cason, President, 4015 Druid Lane, Dallas, Texas; W. 0. V. Campbell, Vice President, 7120 Twin Tree Lane, Dallas, Texas; and W. Roy S. Truly, Director and Superintendent of Operations, 4932 Jade Street, Dallas, Texas. This firm also furnishes office space for seven publishing companies, whose books and publications are handled by the Texas School Book Depository. These publishers are as follows: Lyons and Carnahan, Room 201; South Western Publishing Company, Room 203; Allyn and Bacon, Room 301; The MacMillan Company, Room 302; The American Book Company, Room 303; McGraw-gill Book Company, and their subdivision, Gregg Publishing Company, Room 305; and Scott-Foresman Company, Room 401.” (Secret Service report CO-2-34030 12/7/1963)

1963 Nov 23 FBI report by Nat Pinkston (File# DL 100-10461) statement by Roy Truly – he told the agents that his company “has occupied the building at 411 Elm Street for only a few months. Prior to this time, the building was occupied by a wholesale grocery company engaged in supplying restaurants and institutions…”

Great question Ed,

Marina has a short stay with Robert after he is alleged to have picked up the Imperial camera. Stays for a few nights. Lots to discuss. Learns a lot about how that camera actually worked. You know like how you had to look through the top finder and how you had to hold it at waist height. What color it was. Sure there was other stuff these two would have chatted about too.
Love does funny things sometimes. Since when did these two become so chummy?

Ruth, Robert, and Marina, the triangle perhaps.

So the DeM BYP may be the weapon in the archives.

We know this pic turned up late for the party and if no such "moon crater" is visible in the photos known up until then... not sure we have to believe that those earlier ones show the same weapon.

Sorry for sounding like a dumbass noob, but what's the consensus here on the BYP and how they were created? Were they made on Nov 22nd? Inspired by the one photo Marina took in Russia? With Oswald holding a shotgun over his head to celebrate June's birth. From my reading I'd say the Quaker Charity lady definitely had something t do with it. Using the commie papers she said she threw out. Her Commission testimony is almost laughable on this point.
Do you think it was a fortuitous piece of improvising? Finding out about the Russian photos and using the commie papers t tie the noose tighter.
Or do you guys figure it was premeditated. Tying him t Neely St, an address he never even stayed at.
If you believe Adele Edison there certainly was a sophisticated long term set up.
If got t confess I'm not sold on the whole alteration angle, but these photos certainly look suspicious. And amateurishly so.
I'd be interested t hear people's thoughts on the topic, and sorry again if this seems like 101 stuff.
Maybe i need t stay behind class and write out the Evica Drago model 1000×, until i fully comprehend its God-like profundities and subtleties. Until i can tell my foo from my deep foo.

This is a bit from interwebs that should be recognizable.,

Quote: "My investigation has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Zapruder never stopped his camera at that point, as he repeatedly told people , and that the film was cut and optically reframed so that there is no splice. Optical reframing is the method used when a film receives " special effects" or is altered. As is explained in my book on the film, "The Hoax of the Century", there are no flash frames or evidence of "first frame over exposure" at Z-133, the transition from the three motorcycles leading the motorcade to the limousine, and it is a jump cut. I have interviewed a leading film expert in the world as well as the inventors of the camera who were trying to prevent such flash frames, and it is a certainty that the camera always produced them when it was stopped and then restarted .We do not see them at this crucial transition from one scene to another in the film.

It is reasonable that there was another person operating a camera close by Zapruder with essentially the same perspective, perhaps in the "pill box" just behind Zapruder in the pergola. This film was the one that was flown to Kodak in Rochester N.Y, as testimony indicates, altered, and Zapruder's film disappeared later on. During the massive shell game that was played with Zapruder's film before it was developed in Dallas. the other film was already in the air. Or, as I elsewhere suggested, it was being developed in either the Hesters lab, or in a mobil film lab somewhere. Off Quote.

Marilyn Sitzman, Charles and Beatrice Hester were filmed by Abraham Zapruder shortly before the motorcade arrived..the same Charles Hester owned Commercial Photography.
A Robert and Pat Hester were part owners, along with Fritz and Helen Holland of a company called The National Film Company
The daughter of Robert & Pat Hester, Vicky Mayne who worked in the lab, of TNFC, told Harrison Livingstone that had actually developed numerous films and photographs, including photos taken of the Presidents body at Parkland. ..upon which seeing, she threw upShe also mentioned that she helped develop the Zapruder film.

Below from Killing The Truth H.E Livingstone..

Vickie Mayne : Page 511

Vickie Mayne was sixteen on the day that John Kennedy died. She helped
do the work in her parents film lab when the Secret Service brought in
all the photos, films, and the Zapruder film they had rounded up in
DealeyPlaza. She told me that she had seen the photographs of
Kennedy's body taken at ParklandHospital, a fact that no outsider was
aware of. She remembered this with great clarity because she threw up
upon seeing them. What else could make her throw up but pictures of a
dead body and terrible wounds?

Two couples owned the lab, the National Photo Company, and the Secret
Service supposedly allowed them to retain copies of all the pictures
they developed that day. If this is true, it would seem an unlikely
scenario that the Secret Service conspired to kill President Kennedy.
Another interpretation is that the passing of copies to outside
witnesses was for their S.Ss own protection. Some of
the Secret Service agents had testified to other guns and the sounds of
pistols. They must have known it was a conspiracy, and their later
descriptions of the wounds were not in line with the Warren Commission
story.

In any event, the home of Vickie Mayne's parents burned down some time
later, and the treasure trove in it---if that is where it was----burned
with it. "There were hundreds and hundreds of rolls of film," she told
me.Mayne said the fire was determined to be arson. Healey told me
that he knew of the trove and that Mayne's parents had, had this
material. Vickie told me that her family still had the materials when
her mother died in June 1987.
Her parents were Robert and Pat (Edna) Hester. The other couple was
Fritz and Helen Holland, both deceased and leaving no children.

I recall Sen(?) Gonzales had some info on pictures, his met a unknown fate... supposedly...
Spooks burning down the house to stop the pics.
Wild stuff. Great article Bart.
Cheers, Ed
