If this investigation turns out to be anything like "Beyond conspiracy", "Beyond the magic bullet", "The lost bullet" or "Inside the target car", I think I might end up smashing my head against a brick wall.

Since this will be an Australian investigation, I really hope someone such as yourself will serve as a consultant.

Unfortunately my enthusiasm has been damped somewhat. I've leaned that the investigator they hired - Colin McLaren - is a former undercover cop who specialized in mafia sting operations. He has since made a living writing about his experiences - including scripts for Underbelly. I've also learned he has already written the script for this project. I haven't found out what it contains, but given his background it seems logical it will point to the mob - if so (and I really really hope it ain't), it will be devastating to me since Andrew Denton is associated with the production and I have huge respect for Mr Denton.

The last thing we need for the 50th is the Mob did it garbage, but I think you're right in thinking that it will point the finger at them. I'm thinking of doing some video presentations in the coming months, which I will post on my blog.

What I would really like to see (although I doubt VERY much that it will ever happen) is for Johnny Brewer to come clean about what really happened at Hardy's shoe store on the day of the assassination. I share Lee's belief that Igor Vaganov was one of the two men in his store who identified themselves as working for IBM, and Brewer owes everyone interested in the truth an explanation for what really happened.
