When President Johnson asked Bobby Kennedy to name the people he wanted appointed to the Commission, Johnson was surprised to hear RFK name John McCloy and Allen Dulles – two CIA leaders.

Dulles, of course, knew about White House plans to kill Fidel Castro and kept it from the Warren Commission.

Is it actually true? I found it quite shocking.

Dale Myers is a lying sack of shit (pardon my French). After the Bay of Pigs failure, and after the Kennedy brother's discovered that Dulles and the CIA had deceived them about the invasion, JFK fired him. Then, RFK asked Dean Rusk if Dulles had any relatives employed by the Government. Rusk apparently told him that he had a sister named Eleanor Dulles who worked at the state department. RFK told him words to the effect; "get rid of her. I don't want anymore of that Dulles family around".
 
In light of that bit of information, it simply boggles the mind that RFK would appoint Dulles to the WC. Dale Myers can stick his claim where the sun don't shine.

Not, "apparently"  that is what Rusk told him.

That is right from Mosley's book.  And he had access to Eleanor Dulles.

This really hurt her retirement plans and what she had planned as a way of finishing her career.

But the other thing is, if one reads the Taylor Commission hearings, its pretty obvious that RFK understood that Dulles had set up his brother at Bay of Pigs.  This is why he was pushing to have him fired and brought in Robert Lovett to seal the deal.

I have read reports that what really happened is that Dulles actually lobbied Johnson for the position.  That would make sense if he was the guy in the room with Rostow when Rostow called the White House to first float the idea of a Commission with Johnson.

That Caro would fall for such a cock and bull story, which Johnson clearly put out years later to cover his ass when the WC report was beginning to collapse, this tells you  all you need to know about his book.

That Myers would recycle it, well what does one expect from Mr. Single Bullet Fact man.

This is sort of like the Police letting a suspect go because he said that he didn't commit the crime they are charging him with; and ignoring all the evidence which supports his guilt.
 
Myers is nothing but a bullshit artist (not that I really had to point that out).

These two guys are such absolute clowns.  All they need is some greasepaint on their faces.

What really gets me is this:  Its not bad enough that these flip floppers (Reitzes, Russo, Myers) change direction without explanation; its not bad enough that some of them make big money for it;  but then they have to go ahead and attack people who didn't flip flop.  And they do it by using the same phony evidence that they know is rigged e.g. like the CIA's own study, and the HSCA medical panel.

I mean please, give us all a break.
