This news article caught my eye:
I wonder if there's anything interesting in the collection.
Not familiar with the name, I searched but couldn't find any specific pictures related to this guy. His name did show up in a lot of places though (HSCA testimony, the 1986 TV Trial, Bugs' book, etc.).JFK-assassination items will go on Scottsdale auction block.
A Scottsdale auction house on Thursday, March 6, is putting up for bid some original crime-scene photos related to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
The photos and research come from the estate of former Scottsdale police Officer Cecil Kirk, who worked for more than 20 years as a crime-scene supervisor with the Washington, D.C., Metro Police.
"Cecil was an excellent photographer who was assigned in 1963 to the federal investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas. He later testified in several congressional hearings regarding the JFK case," said Josh Levine, owner of J. Levine Auction & Appraisal.
Kirk joined the Scottsdale Police Department in 1980 as a crime-scene unit supervisor and retired in 1990 because for health reasons. He died in April 2011.
