Interesting the similarity in the handwriting between this and LHO's - particularly the way "Oswald" is written...

Sorry about that but the forum software won't allow new members to do certain things until a set number of posts have been made (can't remember if it is 2, 5, or 10). The reason is to discourage spammers.Kloydy wrote:Interesting the similarity in the handwriting between this and LHO's - particularly the way "Oswald" is written...

OK - I was going to show Oswald's USMC ID card with his signature on it - looks similar to the way McDonald has written it ion the first page. Maybe someone else could have a go then?greg parker wrote:Sorry about that but the forum software won't allow new members to do certain things until a set number of posts have been made (can't remember if it is 2, 5, or 10). Thanks, Bart, Yes, McLiar deserves his own thread. As I have discussed in the past, I believe he and Jerry Hill were working together to frame Oswald. I think McDonald's role may have been to shoot Oswald once they started fighting inside the theater, but Oswald managed to grab a hold of McDonald's gun. It's interesting that not only did Hill and McDonald serve in the U. S. Air force, but that according to their WC testimonies, they joined the DPD just 4 days apart. I'd say they go way back, and that they may have been connected to D. H. Byrd and the CAP through the Air force.

you're work in this area is first rate.
You and others leave no doubt , at least in my mind Oswald was supposed to die at the theatre......after reading all your material on this area of the investigation I am with you , that its quite possible that McDonald was involved in some way. He and Hill are the cockroaches of the DPD that we talk about in other threads regarding the culture of the DPD back in '63. The question remains whom was pulling their strings?

That must be the fifth version of his story Ive read...
NOTE: That mark on his face runs from the ear to the mouth.
It was not caused by a punch.
AND NOT A LEFT HANDED PUNCH FOR SURE!
Please ask a doctor, or expert to verify this.
But the mark starts well defined near the ear then becomes less so nearing the mouth.
As if someone reached in with an object as he was fallen over Oswald into the seats.
A wristwatch or pistol are candidates
(as is Oswald's ID band, this may not even cause a scratch)
Or Nick standing back up and scraping across another officers badge, etc. clumsy oaf .

Be interesting to see if there are any images of Macca a few days after the little accident. Bruising- what Shape and how large.....Hazard a guess it might have left a little tell tale sign of something like a shotgun Butt.

Yeah that whole malarky with which arm Oswald supposedly threw the punch is another fine "story"
If I did not know any better that scratch would be caused by the barrel of a gun not a fist.

I actually think Oswald did slug McDonald, but I'm not relying on the lying twat for that. IIRC, C. F. Bentley (Paul Bentley's nephew) admitted during an interview with a researcher that he had smashed Oswald's head with the butt of his shotgun inside the theater. Bob Carroll also admitted during a filmed interview that he had slugged Oswald.

I am not disputing Oswald hit uncle Nick, but Oswald's swollen eyebrow is the mark of a punch of some sort. But Uncle Nick's scratch on the other hand.....

WC. Testimony.
Mr. Ball.
What happened when you jerked the pistol free?
Mr. McDonald.
When I jerked it free, I was down in the seats with him, with my head, some reason or other, I don't know why, and when I brought the pistol out, it grazed me across the cheek here, and I put it all the way out to the aisle, holding it by the butt. I gave the pistol to Detective Bob Carroll at that point.
If that's true, that would explain the scratch on his face.
There doesn't appear to be any other marks on his face. Oswald must have pulled his punch.

Thanks for finding that - I think it shows Macca's injury to be consistent with a scrape from an object rather than a fist, he all but confirms this with the testimony, and I see no reason for him to lie about that point.
It does however raise the question of whether Oswald actually ever hit him with a fist. The photo shows no other evidence of trauma to the face at least. And it does support the idea that Oswald may not have resisted.

http://articles.latimes.com/2005/jan/29/local/me-mcdonald29McDonald arrived at Dallas' Dealey Plaza moments after Kennedy was shot on Nov. 22, 1963. Later that day, he searched the Texas Theater and helped make the historic arrest, grappling with the man suspected of shooting Kennedy after Oswald pulled a gun.
By then, Oswald had shot another Dallas officer dead in a confrontation.
"He made a fist and bam -- hit me right between the eyes," McDonald recalled years afterward. "Knocked my hat off. I came back and hit him."

A glancing blow, - not according to Mac - hit me right between the eyes,
I'm not seeing Macca's shiner in the pic though.
Odd that!

The punch knocked Nick's hat off and knocked him to the floor. Oswald was punching way above his weight.

Mr. McDONALD.
And this hand struck me between the eyes on the bridge of the nose..... Well, whenever he knocked my hat off,
Nick says he was hit with a right by the vicious little punk.
But really, as we learn from Walker, it was a solid left, right combination that would have made Ali proud.
Mr. WALKER.
McDonald’s right hand as he was searching, and he felt of his pocket, and Oswald then hit him, it appeared, with his left hand first, and then with his right hand.
Brewer saw McDonald go down, but bravely beat the count...
Mr. BREWER.
McDonald was back up. He just knocked him down for a second and he was back up
Applin sees Oswald throw a haymaker with his right, which must have missed. Oswald was after a knockout, but is soon overpowered by the heayweight donut muncher.
Mr. BALL.
Then what did Oswald do?
Mr. APPLIN.
He took a right-hand swing at him.
Mr. BALL.
What did the officer do?
Mr. APPLIN.
The officer grabbed him then.
---------------------------------
Seriously, how did this shit ever have any traction?
I do note that none of other cops brought into the punches except Walker - and he really grasped it with both hands and it took it walkabout. The main witnesses supporting Macca though were the two cherry-picked patrons and Brewer.
