"Ahimsa, oh Johnny, ahimsa!
In the spinning confusion, ahimsa!
In the blood of life, death, and torture,
Ahimsa! Ahimsa! Ahimsa!"
What a ballad! Strange thing is that quite a bit of it makes sense.

I blast this stuff out of my mp3 dock at my customers all day. Fuck 'em. I like it.
1500 songs on random play featuring the Fugs and everything else from Cilla fucking Black to Free, from Lulu to Tom Lehrer and the Saints, to the Postal Service.
And a punk song about Oswald and a folk song about Ruby.

Thanks for this wonderful memory, Greg ! Yes…… Ed & Tuli & Co. came up with some real bonahz, huh? Who can forget great lyrics like,
"Who can squash Republics like bananas
Just coz' they don't like their social manners?
Fuckin' A, man, CIA, man"
Another goodie in the JFK genre of music (sorta) is Human Sexual Response's "Jackie Onassis". But thanks again, mate. Lots of Fugs-related vids on yootoob. Yeah, a lot of freaks (like Ed) live near Woodstock. It was, after all, our Hajj to Mecca.

Indeed, Stan. I'd be quite content with that. Throw in watching Lee Vs Bob on Main Event Pay Per View and it doesn't get much better than that.what more does one need?

I don't know why the song Johnny Angel comes to mind here. Maybe it's the cadence and my brain substitutes Pissoff for Angel. And, you know, it still fits into the larger picture of the universe. Maybe the Fugs could have worked Shelley into their ballads. Just saying. The Red Angel. Johnny. Pissoff. Yin. Yang. Yes.
