Paines all over. Empty Paines all over.

Fri 18 Feb 2011, 4:35 pm
Was just wondering, when did DeMohrenschildt first meet the Paines'?
Am I correct that it was through Edward Glover...in Jan 63?
It seems the first time was when George and his wife were showing the film of their Panama movie, as depicted it "I'm A Patsy"
Does anyone have other information....are there allusions to earlier
meetings?...or a continuing friendship after the initial meeting?
I'm aware of the Moore to George to Oswald encounters....but did the Baron know of the Paines earlier...any thoughts?help?

Don't know if this helps Steve, but the HSCA had information from a witness about a possible link between DeM and Ruth's father.

During the interview with the committee investigator, Dryer was asked if he were familiar with the names of a number of people who may have had some connection or association with George de Mohrenschildt. Of the names, Dryer recognized Dorothe Matlack and william Avery Hyde.(198) He remembered Matlack as one of the people Charles asked Dryer to contact for him in the United States.(199) Dryer could not remember in what connection or context Hyde's name had been used by de Mohrenschildt.(200)
The possible association between George de Mohrenschildt and William Avery Hyde may have some significance because Hyde is the father of Ruth Paine, the woman with whom Marina Oswald was living at the time of the assassination. The connection was intriguing because there was never any intimation by the Warren Commission that de Mohrenschildt had more than a brief acquaintance with Ruth Paine.
De Mohrenschildt stated in his Warren Commission testimony that he met Ruth Paine on only one occasion, at a party at the home of Everett Glover in Dallas.(201) De Mohrenschildt said the party took place in either January or February of 1963.(202) De Mohrenschildt stated that it was his "recollection" that that was the only time he was Ruth Paine.(203)
In her Warren commission testimony, Ruth Paine stated that she first met George de Mohrenschildt and his wife at the party at Everett Glover's, and that she never saw then again after that.(204) Ruth Paine gave the date of that party as February 22, 1963.(205) She stated that she had "no conversations, no letters, no contact whatsoever" with the de Mohrenschildts either before or after that party.(206)

Excerpt from Part IV of the HSCA section on DeM. And if I recall, both DeM and William Avery Hyde had worked for the ICA...

Steve,

I don't know if you've ever checked out Peter Levenda's background research on Ruth Paine's mom & stepdad. But it's another good reason to stay out of the Maine woods at night. What the?

Thanks Richard....I've been given the tentative chance to work on a project...Lavenda is a big inspiration behind the book...and the work I've been given stems from his....all circles, all synchronicity....So Arthur Young and the nine will be covered....
