Now that the Eagle has Landed, what's the battle plan? A few suggestions:

  1. Anyone here who's a member at other JFK forums please let those folk know that Greg's book is now available. Tell them that their socks, nylons, or whatever will be knocked off when they buy it and read it.
  2. Somebody help Greg get hooked up with Black Op Radio for an interview/series of interviews. Start a dialog. Get him on TV for interviews, etc.
  3. Perhaps give Oliver Stone a heads up. Could be another film opportunity down the road?
I was 10 years old when this shit happened. My aunt who LOVED Kennedy lived in Grand Prairie, just a few miles from all the action. She bought the Warren Commission official story hook, line and sinker. But she began to have doubts in her later years. She went to her grave not knowing the truth. Same with my dad.

This book can help change all of that for people alive today. At least get things started in that direction, anyway.

Let's get this thing moving.

Thanks Stan.

As I understand it, BOR is a possibility. So is interest from mainstream media which someone has facilitated. But I don't want to count chickens that may never hatch. I don't have a budget, so am relying largely on word of mouth. Little things can help a lot. Amazon reviews. Getting word out through Social Media (and as you say, other forums).

I know there are areas in the book that aren't yet fully fleshed out. I could have waited and written and published the whole thing in one volume - but that may have taken years given the need to make a living - thus the decision to put out 3 volumes. I hope there is enough in this first one to pique interest. The biggest area to focus on is the interconnections between the Paines/Korth/Ekdahl/White and those behind the financing of Youth House. The bottom line is in getting as many people interested all over again as possible and to increase the pressure for an official/legal response. There is plenty more ammo to be fired across the bow yet.

I should add that I am more than happy to try and answer any questions on anything touched in the book and to take on board any suggestions or criticisms.

Greg:

While on BOP, Jim DiEugenio urged Len Osanic to have you on the show (Show #647, Sept 12, 2013, Guests: Bill Kelly/Jim DiEugenio http://www.blackopradio.com/archives2013.html starting around 3:15 mark and then again around 14:45). So why not let Len know your book is now out and set up a time to have an interview (allowing him sufficient time to buy and read it first). That would be good for starters. Now you have something to talk about: Volume 1. I'd love to hear this discussion.

If you're still a member of Simkin's forum, you could announce that your book is out and included the links. Other authors do this. And any other forums too.

Get a buzz started and people asking questions.

Stan,

yeah, I was aware of Jim's effort - there was also a bit of nudging done by a couple of lovely ladies on FB. Len told them he'd be happy to interview me after the book came out. I'll try and find out what his current thoughts are.

I am also going to be interviewed in May for a series of videos titled "Ten Minutes on the Couch With..."

Though I am still a member of the Ed Forum, I will not post about my book there (others can. I have no problem with that) . Comments made to me by JS in the past about authors posting there is the reason.

If I was going to post there again, it would be take David Josephs to task. The problem is I just have great difficulty trying to distill the points he is attempting to make.

Have just joined Good Reads... but my book isn't listed there yet. If it's not there tomorrow, I think I can add it.

It would be good to get that buzz going, Stan... but selling and PR aren't my strong points (which probably explains why my business is just barely hanging on, come to think of it!)

I do want to thank you and every one here for all the support. If anyone wants to put a review on amazon, or give it a plug on FB or Twitter, that'd be great, too.

The connections uncovered go to heart of figuring out Oswald -- and will lead to at least two involved without question on some level, in the planning of the assassination. The case will be built bit by bit through the next two volumes. As someone just emailed me - many areas of the research I've done, are all actually falling into place together. Unfortunately, the final brick in the construction can't fall into place until the final volume. But it is one helluva brick.

Greg,

Loved the book but for one thing: it was too bloody short. When is volume two coming out?

This seems like the first bio of Oswald I have seen that actually makes sense and sounds like a real human being rather than a caricature.

But, I noticed what might be two typos:

Just after Dr. Hartog's testimony in the paragraph that begins "Such dual reports..."

"Why? He sole "crime" was dodging school."

Should that read "His" rather than "He"?

The other is in the section "Oswald in Youth House" in the sentence that ends with footnote [ccxix]:

"It was also reported that he had struck out as some of his class mates."

Should that read "at" rather than "as"?

I wish I could give you some tips on how to market this thing but I have not done very good a job on my own books, so I can't help you there. Goodreads sounds like a good start and the interview on radio certainly could not hurt.

And I'll pass along a recommendation wherever I can.

To be honest, I'll call it a victory if they are the only two typos left (though I did think I'd got them all). Harder to pick up wrong words as opposed to misspelled ones. It's good to know about them though so they can be fixed for the trade version.

Yeah, it's not that long, but it could potentially take a few years to get the whole thing out - and I wanted to get at least some of this material out now.

I don't know how long for volume two - but hopefully a bit quicker than this one.

Appreciate the feedback. Can I ask what genre you write in?

Greg,

Obviously, "a few years to get the whole thing out" was not the answer I was hoping for.  Very Happy

I write whatever comes to mind. Science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, sociology, poetry, and the list goes on. I self-publish the stuff through Amazon kindle (and at Smashwords which has a variety of markets) through my company Martian Publishing. With so many genres, I use pen-names.

The one book that has had the most success was a volume called The Plot to Kill John Wilkes Booth. And its not fiction.

If you ever need help proofing the next volume, I would be glad to help.

Thank you again, Terry.

As I think I said elsewhere, the need to make a living gets in the way. I work from home though, so at least I can do all this in small blocks of time throughout the day and night - albeit while battling with business issues, kids, windows 8 and occasional bouts of writer's block!

I did have someone helping with the proof-reading but felt a little guilty about it and ended up doing about half of it myself. You'll note the two errors were in the second half of the book  Wink

If I really push myself, I could probably get volume 2 out by the end of the year. I'd actually really like to have it out for the 50th anniversary of the WCR being handed down in September...

One thing for anyone who gets the book - to get the most out of it, you really need to read the footnotes.

I had in mind doing something similar with "New Disease Press"... but realistically, I don't have the expertise or the time. Just had a look at Martian Publishing. Well done with it. Looks good.

I also just saw your review of LHOCW on Amazon. Thanks for that!
