THE FLIRTATIONS
They sure do pack a wallop. Filmed at Tintern Abbey in Wales in 1969:

THE ULTIMATE SPINACH
The "Boston Sound" of 1968. I heard their radio debut late one night, while in junior high, on my little transistor.

Thanks Richard!
When I get a chance I might track down some classic '60s Oz rock...

This chart-topper from the summer of 1970 all but disappeared once it went out of style. Simple & strong melody & lyrics, and they just don't make 'em like that any more.

BRIAN HYLAND
Hard to believe he went from "Sealed with a Kiss" to this masterful cover of a Curtis Mayfield tune. He also saw the motorcade with members of Dick Clark's "Caravan of Stars" from somewhere near Austin/Main.
I had the pleasure of listening to an 8-minute version of this on alternative radio one night:

THE BYRDS
I just found this clip from the Monterrey Pop Festival summer 1967, as the Byrds introduce their song about JFK, "He Was A Friend of Mine". David Crosby got fired from the band for his outrageous behavior onstage during this festival. It sure took some nads to tell the audience the lowdown about Dallas; Crosby's statement is completely accurate.
