Jim Leavelle R.I.P.

Just heard that he has passed away.

Aged 99 years.

A helluva lot longer than the prisoner he should have been protecting.

No more tall tales from the ten gallon hat with a slow drawl. Sad really.
He was very much a cop,
describing the president's assassination as "no different than a south Dallas niggerkilling"...
At least he played along with the research crowd.

He had gone to Colorado to celebrate his 99th birthday with his family and friends . While walking about he slipped and fell and broke his hip. At that advanced age breaking his hip turned out to be fatal.  He died in a hospital in Denver.

Leavelle spotted at end of Oswald press conference, he is behind Oswald on the right, whereas to Oswald's left is Winston Lawson of the USSS. Never seen Leavelle before at the press conf. #solved
