A Second look at Guy Banister Empty A Second look at Guy Banister

For decades officials and critics of conspiracy have stated that Ex FBI Agent and New Orleans Police Officer Guy Bannister a prior assassination suspect had no connection to the Central Intelligence Agency. Yet Bannister's was as a CIA informant, and his detective business was for a time a feasible prospect to become a CIA front business. i. This does not prove Bannister was responsible but again proves Agency officials were dishonest.
i. House Select Committee on Assassinations, Segregated CIA Collection, Guy Bannister's Alleged involvement with Cuban exile activities, Box 40, File 461, November 21, 1967, p. 1

This interests me too. We know he knew J.Edgar personally. He could never have become the Special Agent in Charge of America's second-largest city if Jm Edgar had not personally approved. We know his special niche was tracking communists.

Conversely, we know he was behind on his rent and had drinking problems. He's one of the big mysteries of the case.
