Michael Shore

Michael Shore was an advertising guru who was friends with Jack Ruby’s brother Earl. I wanted to start a discussion on Shore for a number of reasons. First of all, Shore was (apparently) involved in securing Melvin Belli as an attorney for Ruby following Oswald’s murder:

Secondly, in late October, 1963 Shore and Jack Ruby had been telephonically in contact with each other a number of times:

Ruby had also instructed his multi-purpose employee, Larry Crafard, to give a particular phone number only to Shore:

Thirdly, when one reads through the information provided by a number of FBI informants on Shore, one can very easily be left with the impression that Shore had communist sympathies:

However, Shore may have been working as a confidential FBI informant himself. Although Shore had been in contact with Jack Ruby prior to late October, 1963, my hunch is that the real reason Ruby and Shore were in contact with each other in late October, 1963, had something to do with gun running activities at the Dallas Fairgrounds in October, 1963. I discussed the possibility of gun running activities at the Fairgrounds in the following thread:

Let’s keep in mind that the “How Hollywood Makes Movies” show at the Fairgrounds (which Jack Ruby was associated with) was run by Bob Craven and “Deke” Miles; both of whom were from Hollywood, California, and that Michael Shore was associated with Hollywood, California. It’s also possible that someone (perhaps Larry Crafard) may have been trying to make Ruby look like a communist by getting him and Shore (someone with alleged communist sympathies) to associate with each other in the lead up to the assassination. Unless we are to believe that all three of them were working as confidential informants for the FBI, it looks like they all had genuine communist sympathies. If I am right when I said that someone may have been trying to make Jack Ruby look like a communist by getting him and Shore to associate with each other in the lead up to the assassination, then I think Larry Crafard was a part of that plot.
