The reason I am not posting at the Ed Forum

I introduced myself to Dawn Meredith at the 50th COPA, adding that I was an administrator at the ROKC forum. I had hoped to engage her in small talk about Harvard, since my brother had attended their extension school, like her. But she immediately replied, "Greg Parker's been bad-mouthing me at that forum." And I could see the injury in her eyes, and the strength with which she carried herself. I replied with a white lie, "I wasn't aware of that," and that was the end of our conversation.

It was your insult, Greg, your Australian blowhard bullying, that damaged that introduction. Somebody has to call you on your bulls***. It's time to grow up. Will you ever assume personal responsibility for the slop, filth and denigration generated by your website? I've seriously considered filing criminal charges. You've done a lot of damage to research community relations and might want to extend some apologies.

I started a separate thread giving a rebuttal. It was deleted without explanation, so I started another thread with the following:

 

This is an unsubstantiated accusation backed only by a patently phony anecdote.

Richard expects readers to believe that he sabotaged his own desire to engage Dawn in small talk about Harvard by introducing himself as an admin at my previous forum. He knows this will not please Dawn because he ADMITS he "knew" I had insulted her (although he won't and can't provide any evidence of said insult). This is akin to me wanting to be friendly with Mohammed Ali and thinking the best way to make friends would be to introduce myself as a KKK Grand Dragon and number one fan of Jerry Quarry! The melodrama of the anecdote is about as flaccid as Richard on a Saturday night. "Injury in her eyes!"? No wonder your film scripts suck.

So... a false accusation followed by a BS anecdote.

Why was my rebuttal removed but this accusation left up?

This too, was removed. However before it was, Dawn Meredith came on and stated that she recalled no such conversation with anyone and that she was not aware of any insults I had made against her. This was an important post because Dawn and I are not exactly on friendly terms, so her post was not simply to defend me as a friend. She was just telling the truth.

The allegations remained however for all to see, but both my denials and Dawn's statements were deleted. The Education Forum has been a deliberate party to deceitful and completely baseless allegations to injure my reputation.

If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. I returned to the Education Forum at THEIR request to do a paper for them, and this was treatment I received as a result.

I should add, that I was banned. But I wasn't staying anyway under those conditions. 

Now the bullshit has free reign. That's all good. What's not good is to pretend that 90% of what's posted there is credible historical research with educational value.

It is a Little-Pinky-in-the-Air Club where style ("manners") sits 100 steps above content. Like saying "please" and "thank you" for shitting on my thread with your bullshit H & L theory will somehow make it smell sweeter. That's what your manners are, kiddies, They are deodorizers.  But no amount of Dear Sirs and Kind Regards can turn the lies into facts or bring a semblance of rectitude to the bottom-feeding agendas so beloved of so many.

Hargrove is even more desperate than usual pulling out his "Parker falsely accused me" schtick.

And of course he has reverted to showing a screen-shot of it because he doesn't anyone to actually see the full story.

Here is the link to the thread, which includes a screen-shot of the virus warning I got when I clicked on one of those links along with the information that myself and Hargrove were the only members logged in at the time and that he had time to clean the virus before contacting his web support

Moreover, if Jim has ever put up photos on his website just to link into a thread, I can't recall it. As far as I can recall, he has done what most do - upload the photos direct to the thread.

All I did was what anyone one do - warn others that I got a virus after clicking on them. People can decide for themselves, but they should avail themselves of the full facts before doing so.

At the very least they should have allowed the rebuttal to remain. So readers could see both sides of the story. Or they should have deleted Gilbrides bogus claims also. So much for truth and integrity.
