Trump to Open JFK Files

I was reasonably confident he would (and said so against the tide of opinion on FB), despite reports to the contrary. 

Another chance to stick it to the intel community. More potential material to weaponize. More proof of swamp draining.

The question remaining now -- will there be further information put to him? It almost sounds like a dare...

I was surprised to read this morning that many people - including supposed "sources" inside the White House - said Trump was going to block the release.

I don't know where anyone got that idea. In the past I have heard him mention on two separate occasions ( one was before he was ever running for POTUS ) that it was a travesty that all the files had still not been released.

Of course, a spanner may still monkey the works up a bit. We won't really know until they are actually released.

I said at the start of the year I was bowing out at the end of it. I really hope and feel that Stan maybe be right - that there is a change in the air, a turning of the tide, or any other way it can be put. It would sure be a better way to go out knowing that is happening.

Yes, Stan, the Donald has been a CT for many years and has said many times over the years that the files should have been released already.

I can't see how or why he should change his mind now that they are going forward.

Personally, I don't think there is going to be any smoking gun found but who knows what little tidbits here and there cannot be stitched together in a way the occluders may not have noticed.

Stan, in many ways I think I agree. The Donald has certainly shaken the Apple tree to be sure. I think the one thing in our favor without question - is he isn't and hasn't come from snooty elitist political Stock. Let's all hope the files soon to be released allow us here at ROKC to join a few more dots together.

I'm not given to hyperbole and I don't like overstating things, but Trump is a revolutionary, the likes I've never seen in my life, nor even thought possible anymore in the realm of US politics. He sticks to his guns, he doesn't shy away from controversial issues, nor does he kick the can down the road.

President Donald Trump had blocked the release of hundreds of records on the John F. Kennedy assassination on Thursday night US time, bending to CIA and FBI appeals. The National Archives moved to turn over about 2800 other records.

"I have no choice," Trump said in a memo, citing "potentially irreversible harm" to national security if he allowed all records out now.

In 2017, National Security is still the go to plan. I fear that releasing these files will add even more to the ongoing stalemate. Fuck these records. Give me a clearer Darnell or Weigman scan instead.

Looks like Bill Hicks was right. Donald was taken into an oak panelled room, given a large brandy and shown a film of the assassination taken from the grassy knoll.

The last page Belin asks Helms if any info exists that Oswald was a CIA agent. The document stops there. Redacted. Now I know why the CIA at the 11th hour wanted to put the kibosh on releasing everything.

I saw it earlier posted at some website. It looked "official" so I assumed that it was real and screenshot it and posted it here. I DIDN'T get if from the official US govt. archives website, so I don't know with 100% assurance if it's kosher. Time will tell.
