The first thing I was drawn to was the eye. It seems to bug out a bit more. The second thing was the ear. Looks more rounded on the back edge than Oswald's. The nose looks to have more of a pointy tip as well.
Nay.
Nay.

For the same reason that's not Bush in DP, or Milteer in DP, or Lansdale in DP.barto wrote:Why is it defo not Greg?

It's just someone who looks vaguely like someone.
Where did the pic come from?
If, as you say above, no one is saying it's him, that it just looks like him, okay - that's different. But then, why post it and ask if it is him or not? Is there any evidence it is LHO,other than a vague similarity?
Anyhow, you asked, I answered. Nose, hair, ear and mouth (which I know you can't see much of, but it's not LHO's).

Is this photo related to marksmanship-- specifically civilian marksmanship programs, a hunting club, or NRA youth outreach? And when is it from?

This pic is a quick repro and comes from a MC year book when Oz was in it, at the archives 20 years ago.
I posted this to see what others were thinking whether it was Oswald or not.
I myself have no opinion, to me there is not enough to see to conclude either yes or no.

Do you have the yearbook, or at least the details of it? Was the pic captioned with at least a location of the pic, or any other details?
Did it come from MB? If so, was it part of the Armstrong hunt for evidence regarding his theory?
Has someone previously suggested it could be Oswald, if so, who?
Imho there is enough detail to say it is not him. And the MC was/is a huge organization full of young slim white males.
But more background on it would be helpful because I simply could be wrong

After my son graduated from Marine Corps boot camp in 2006, we got a bunch of raw pictures from his entire time in San Diego shipped to us on a CD. We went through hundreds of them, trying to find the ones that our son was in. After I culled it down to about 20-25 or so, I later showed them to my son. Turns out several of them were not him at all. To this day I still swear one of them is him, but he says no. ID'ing young Marines in photos can be tricky.

Absolutely 100% agree here Stan.Stan Dane wrote:After my son graduated from Marine Corps boot camp in 2006, we got a bunch of raw pictures from his entire time in San Diego shipped to us on a CD. Too hard to tell. Is this Oswald? Too be perfectly honest I can't say. My gut says no! But my lying eyes may have deceived me yet again.

Follow with me the comps
Oswald (right) has bulbous chin and jaw line meets his earlobe. Left guys jaw line does not meet earlobe, chinless too.
Oz's nose ramps up into forehead, rather than beginning below eyes.
Ears are shaped differently, round on left and narrow oval on right(Oz).
Still fn close. No wonder it showed up in the archive.
A name and serial number of this MC recruit would be nice to have FWIW.
Thanks Bart,
Ed
