I agree with Jake. I just find this hard to believe. I'm not saying that the documents that Bart posted are fake - but it just seems like that document was published almost three years after the assassination. Wasn't the "Oswald was horrible" narrative already firmly established by then and this was more of the same?

JFK_Case, it could have been manufactured to sully his name as you say, but what I was thinking (and should have said so) was that the document could be true, the conversation could have happened, and it all resulted from Oswald acting as an agent pretending to sympathize with the K's possibly as an intelligence gathering effort ahead of JFK's visit. That all would have been suppressed of course since it could have led investigators down a path that didn't fit the "Oswald the horrible" narrative, rather he would have been "Oswald the good guy". This document could have slipped out on its own later on.

This kind of a role would fit with how he might have been an operative in some kind of a blind, limited role on the day of the assassination.
