Notes From A Windshield
Wed 04 Aug 2021, 10:44 pm
THE NOTES:
NOTE no measurements of the hole or crack from a "fragment" hitting and damaging the windshield!
Why? was it not in the car?
NOTE they measure across the windshield from an undetermined point down from the dented chrome strip. A chrome strip they did measure... at an inch and three quarters.
NOTE they did not measure across the top of windshield or along the chrome strip atop the windshield ...logically where the dent is.
They measured across the windscreen at the hole/crack location.
This diagram is ALL about the hole in the windshield
NOTE photo taken and no direction indicated.
Of what the dent or photo ...
Enjoy,

In the above comparison photos are the Notes and the extant windshield attributed to the assassination.
NOTE the Secret Service pushed this window out with their feet thusly cracking across it.
NOTE these windshields are held by a rubber molding.
If you want to save the molding for reuse you push out the old windshield with your feet.
If you want to save the windshield, say for evidence, you would cut the molding and remove the windshield by hand.
What you shouldn't see is less cracks after removal than when it was in place.
IE the red circled area now has fewer spider legs once removed.
Also when a old windshield of this type is hit with a pick hammer (w/pointy end), the pick when striking the windshield from the outside will 90+% of time cause a lateral line in the glass.
Just so happens that is what the in situ photo of the glass showed.
If you hit the inside with a pick you do not get same effect ( due to curve, tension ,,,etc)
Note two different spider patterns.
Cheers,
Ed
