According to some, the Zapruder film and some of the other films.
If the gray jacket was faked, why was the dry cleaning tag left attached and why use a jacket that apparently was only distributed in the Los Angeles area and Philadelphia? I remember reading that the dry cleaner tag was traced to the Philadelphia area.

It's fake because it's not Lee's jacket.
The medium 'members only' style jacket doesn't fit.
Dry cleaning tag proves its not Lee's as Marina washed his clothes.
Besides Lee had a wool jacket not a gay nightclub assistants grey Maurice Holman coat.
Fake not Lee's.

Why was the tag left in the jacket?
Because cops are stupid and thought they could pin Tippits killers coat to a Dallas Dry Cleaners and Lee Oswald as a customer.
Rookies.
I remember FBI tracing of jacket to Philadelphia for sales of said jacket.
Not any Cleaners.
Every single damn cleaner in Irving Dallas Ft Worth Grand Prairie Benbrook Arlington surrounding areas were contacted. It took days.
None had handled washed cleaned or laundered that jacket.
But one, Hyman Zelazny, said the tag was a tagolectric mark and from a large chain, the B corresponding to a sub location.
And said most likely New Orleans since it didn't match Dallas's.
PS
No other items of Oswalds clothing had any laundry markings or tags. Not a sock, nada tie.
Oh golly gee batman looks like some Louisiana cop killers coat was pinned on a man that has a clothes washer at home named Marina.
Next....
So BYPs are faked but these scumbags would never edit a home movie... never!
Why It's sacred cellulose.
Is this a case of dillusional or over optimistic thinking?
Cheers!

In Jim Garrison's files there's an interview with a David Gentry who supposedly lived at 4919 Magazine St. in the Summer of 1963. He said he never spoke with Oswald, but passed him several times on the way to Rex Laundry and Dry-Cleaners.
The FBI interviewed a Mamie Clark who was a clerk at Rex Dry Cleaners, and she couldn't identify the tag, but said Marina used to come in to get shirts laundered, and corroborated Gentry in saying that she used to see Oswald walking along Magazine St.
What's weird is that Mamie Clark was the only employee interviewed from Rex's. In the New Orleans list of laundromats that were checked out, the choice of interviewees seems random as hell, but the owners and/or managers for literally dozens of laundromats were interviewed. Why wouldn't they interview more than just a single clerk at the only laundromat remotely linked to Oswald?
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html?docId=96430#relPageId=9
Mamie Clark only said she "could not identify" the tag, whereas everyone else interviewed apparently said definitively that the tag was not made by their companies. It just seems like they should have checked out Rex's in a little more detail, and interviewed the owner...
I do not think the jacket was Oswald's, but why the hell would they not follow up on this lead, and not interview Marina about it?

Definitely sightings of Lee on that street.
Marina brings in a few items to get stains out.
No markings though in any clothing.
I think the New Orleans field office were trying to get out of it and hoping the investigation would not require 400 laundry services to be checked. Can't blame em.
Per Gemberling report:
New Orleans Louisiana checked for laundry markings matching K-42..... negative results.
It was likely a Shreveport Louisiana cleaners and definitely Herbert Leon Lee's medium sized gray jacket.

I saw that teletype too and had the same thought lol. They must’ve just been interviewing the first and only employees they could find at each location. It almost makes it weirder they didn’t dig deeper into Rex’s though, as the Mamie Clark interview predated them going out to every laundromat in NOLA by 2-3 weeks.
Interesting point on H. Lee. One of the laundromat owners said the tag came from a Tag-O-Electric machine, and gave the names of three laundromats using the machines in New Orleans…I wonder how many laundromats used those machines in Shreveport.

Discontinued.
Probably a store that bought a used one.
Three that Guillot knows use the in NO.
Possibly one could be used in Shreveport is a good guess but FBI and commission wasn't following the leads it was covering Oswald's trail.
Them Tagoelectric Tagomatic salesman were always looking to make a dollar.
