I stuffed up.

Earlier today I was trying to tidy the forum and make some minor improvements. Unfortunately in the process of changing the MISCELLANEOUS forum into a CATEGORY (which was what it was supposed to be) I deleted it and all the forums attached to it.
I was able to do a restore from a backup - but the nearest date I could use was for 2 days ago, so while some forums and posts were retrieved, some weren't - including the new ed forum archive.
Don't know what to say except sincere apologies to all. I know how rotten it feels to take one step forward and then have to take two back because of some stupid error.

No worries, bud. From the looks of things over at the EF things might be reversing concerning Simkin's decision and although I still think its a good idea to get some of the important threads here I think its a case of wait and see over the next few days as to whether a new announcement is made.
