feel free to add.
Lee Oswald :
No motive due to mental instability
Acting on orders of others e.g. minutemen
Assassin for hire
Did it for Castro
Did it for Khrushchev
Did it for Jodie Foster
Did it to trigger WWIII
Did it for unintelligible political motives
Did it accidentally. Was supposed to miss ala Walker attempt.
Did it as matricide by proxy
Castro:
Retaliation for attempts against him
Khrushchev:
?
JCS
Sick of being restrained and having their tail feathers plucked
BOP
CMC
Cowardice for not nuking the Soviets
Self-interest
Specifically wanting LBJ in
MIC
Wanted a war
Wanted billions splurged into war R & D and production
Contracts for above
Oil
US Left Wing
?
US Right Wing
Pure hatred
Religious grounds
Cuba
Thought Kennedy was too soft on communists
Hated his foreign policy - loathed his domestic policy
Civil Rights
Mafia
Revenge against Bobby
Cuba
CIA
Peel all the above onions. Toss and get another one. Peel that one. Leave it for a while. Toss it. Look in a mirror. Find the smoke. Try and hold the smoke. Get a hammer. Demolish the house. Find the onions again. Make a salad with them. Toss the salad. Go back to the start

Whenever I gets bogged down by 'what really happened', the late great Phil Ochs does a starry service to our souls with his immortal song, "Crucifixion', once sung by Phil to Bobby outside his office, as the story goes, with us taking to heart the part that cries,
They say they can't believe it, it's a sacrilegious shame
Now who would want to hurt such a Hero of the Game?
But you know, I predicted it, I knew he had to fall
How did it happen, I hope his suffering was small
Tell me every detail, I've got to know it all
And do you have a picture of the pain?
RIP, Mr. President. Thanks to Jim Glover for keeping Phil's torch burning.

You can get bogged down in what really happened, for sure... but to not try get the facts ("truth" has been turned into a pejorative term with the help of uber-idiots who think "truth" is synonymous with whatever shit is flushed down the youtube) is just the same as waving a white flag. You win, Big Brother! We will be content to just let it all pass into history and we can reminisce and tell each other tales and revere the martyrdom of Camelot. You can own the history. We cede it to you.
Fuck that.
