Here's some more information that Shaw was working for the CIA. However, I don't think the information is too reliable:in 1992, J. Kenneth McDonald, a CIA historian, wrote a memo based on his review of CIA records, released in 1998, stating Shaw had been a “highly paid CIA contract source.”
