Kathy Beckett has posted the following warning. No names, no serial numbers mentioned, but it is pretty obvious which threads have caused the posting of this reminder

This rule got me thinking... having such a rule implies that you only allow members to join who have been thoroughly vetted as to their true identity and past good character. If that has been done, then such a rule seems acceptable.

But it hasn't. Identity is taken literally on face value. I doubt that any other checks are done.

So the Ed Forum is just as liable to have members using fake names and/or having bad intentions as anywhere else in cyberspace. Yet such people will be protected by the rules as if their identity and true motives had been verified.

Which leads back to the point often made. Such rules allow the Ed Forum to be a haven for liars and hucksters.

And it is the liars and hucksters who are always the first to accuse others of being paid to "disrupt", Cointelpro, indeed.

I guess someone from the Harvey and Lee camp complained to the mods. They are unable to refute the critics so they whine to the mods instead.

A guy named Robert Wheeler (who seems to think the virus is a hoax) wrote this the day before Kathy gave her warning:

Wheeler made his comment on page 102 of that thread. Kathy made a comment on page 103, so she must have seen Wheeler's. One hour later, she wrote her warning about acceptable behaviour. Two hours after that, Jim jumped on the bandwagon with his 100% genuine expressions of outrage. I wouldn't put it past Jim or James 'ban the critics' Norwood to lobby Kathy, but if they didn't, I doubt that her warning was referring to my post.

If the believers have hopped back on the ban-the-critics bus, it's a pretty good indication that they are rattled, isn't it?
