From Lifton's thread on Mack interview were two posts by Chris Newton showing Charles A Briggs - a former #3 in the CIA was involved with the designers of the exhibits of the museum.

When you go to the link, you will find that the exhibit designers were Robert Staples and Barbara Charles.
This pair worked for something called "The Fund for Arts and Culture" which spreads its "goodwill" and free market solutions throughout Europe. Smells like CIA to me...
Good old Bob and Barb even helped redesign the Museum of Political History in St Petersburg...

Having been the Sixth Floor propaganda offices several times I can bear witness to the pretty clever ways that it propagates its message.

And I assume, hence the glass around the 'sniper's nest'?
Why can't they let people look out the window? (probably the main attraction).
Is it because the fake boxes might get damaged? Can't they afford to replace a couple of fake boxes every 6 months?
