Oswald's Accent

First topic message reminder :
"When a person with Asperger's syndrome learns a foreign language, there can be a remarkable ability to pronounce the words as spoken by a native speaker. This can lead to a successful career in languages, such as a translator or interpreter..." The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome, Tony Attwood, p 225
Further...
Looks like all those doctors were wrong. Those little English kids didn't have Asperger's at all. Thanks to HardlyLee.nut experts we can now safely say they were all actually orphans from the US.
The leaps in logic they freely make are truly breathtaking.
the debate has turned to Oswald's fluency in Russian and his "Northern" accent while at Beauregard. As for
how he learned Russian so easlily - as I have pointed out many times - this is a trait of Asperger's. It is also a trait of Asperger's to acquire accents easily:"When a person with Asperger's syndrome learns a foreign language, there can be a remarkable ability to pronounce the words as spoken by a native speaker. This can lead to a successful career in languages, such as a translator or interpreter..." The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome, Tony Attwood, p 225

Background FAS has been described in adults following acute injury to the brain. Children commonly develop an accent closer to that of their peers than their parents’ native accent. Children with ASD often have a speech and language disorder. There have been no recorded cases of children speaking with a foreign accent that they have not been exposed to.
We present 3 British children with Asperger’s syndrome who speak with an American sounding accent with no prior exposure to it. We will show DVD clips of their speech.
Case 1: White English girl, 8, with unilateral hearing loss following congenital CMV infection. Attending main stream school with a statement of special educational needs (SEN), but with significant social and communication difficulties; diagnosed as Asperger’s syndrome. Fluent speech with a strong American accent.
Case 2: White English boy, 9, with CHARGE syndrome, attending main stream school with a statement of SEN; good speech, but with poor social interaction skills and significant obsessional behaviour; was diagnosed as Asperger’s syndrome. Speaks with a clear American accent.
Case 3: Black British boy, 6 with behavioural difficulties, in main stream school with significant social and communication difficulties; diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. Has clear speech with an American accent.
Looks like all those doctors were wrong. Those little English kids didn't have Asperger's at all. Thanks to HardlyLee.nut experts we can now safely say they were all actually orphans from the US.

Yes, this was back in the 50's but if so many others have mentioned his strange behavior as mentioned above, it's astounding that the military didn't pick up on it and kick him out.

Again, you are working from an assumption that all with this syndrome are equally affected and have the same sets of deficits/abilities. They do not - any more than the general population does.
And no one mentioned "strange behavior". He was noted as being "odd" and a "loner". That did not escape the attention of fellow Marines, but it is not like he was sizing them up for his next meal.
One quick example: "Very odd" was how Mike Dejovanovich described Oswald to his mother.

You assume that "odd behavior" will get one kicked out of the Maines Corp, or the military in general? The Marines (as well as the Army, Navy and Air Force) are full of people who exhibit "odd behavior."
I was in the US Navy throughout most of the 1970s. I was in one of the most demanding programs: Naval Nuclear Power. The Navy Nuc program was like years of college crammed down your throat in six months. Can't keep up or make the grade? You're out. The next six months was applying what you learned on a real operating prototype reactor. Can't translate theoretical knowledge to the practical world? Bye bye.
They did kick you out if you got arrested, got into trouble, or things like too many speeding tickets, etc. That stuff aside, the bottom line was you had to perform. Having said that, I've seen some really weird ones who exhibited "odd behavior" who were able to survive.
The best example off the top of my head is a guy who worked for me on my Nimitz-class aircraft carrier named Mason. He was smart as a whip, but I'll just say he looked at things differently. He did odd things. For example, he thought the most accurate way to measure the size of your erect thingy would be to insert a wire in the urethra until it bottomed out, pull it back out and then measure the length of the wire. He did it. The problem was that the wire somehow got hooked on his bladder and he couldn't pull it back out. He had to go to medical. The word leaked out and he was known as wire dick. It didn't faze him. Nothing major seemed to faze him. Mason did other odd things like pick his own locks to open them. A master-at-arms (ship's cop) caught him picking open a lock once and hauled him in. It was his own lock and we had to vouch for him. We told him to knock that shit off.
Greg mentioned above that Lee "would play cowboys and indians - by himself - into his teens - a trait of this remaining the rest of his life - greeting or leaving with a point of a finger and a 'pew pew'."
While operating in the Mediterranean, Naples Italy, I was making a trip to the forward engine room to inform Mason that he would have to remain on watch a while longer because we weren't ready to secure the plant for liberty yet. Mason was operating two turbine generators (SSTG) that provide electrical power to the ship. As I descended down the ladder into the cavernous engine room, Mason spotted me and dived behind one of the SSTGs, then he peeked around, pointing his finger at me and simulated shooting a gun, cowboy-style. He did this several times before I got down to talk to him. He shrugged it off. Mason was an avid reader of western novels.
None of this stuff ever showed up in his written performance evaluations. Performance evals can be very political, and if you are going to put certain things in an evaluation, you better be prepared for a hellava lot of work on your end because then you got to prove a ton of shit. As far as the senior officers were concerned, as long as Mason was able to acceptably perform his duties, they didn't want to rock the boat.
Another example comes to mind. On my first nuclear ship, a cruiser, we had this new guy who was having severe problems being out at sea. He was very quiet, did his job, but when he was not working/not on watch, he would sit on the deck next to his rack (bunk) and stare at a windup alarm clock he placed on top of the sheets. Do this for hours on end, day after day. Antisocial. Seemed to be in his own world. Very weird. He got the nickname Gollum. But he did his job. That's all that mattered to anyone. (I ran into him 30 years later and he was a shift supervisor at a commercial nuclear plant, seemingly perfectly normal.)
While in the Navy, my experiences with Marines were limited. We had a Marine Detachment (MARDET) on my aircraft carrier. Some of these guys were good, sharp even. But many were stereotypical "jarheads." To me, jarheads are odd.
My son was a Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq 2006-2010. I got to meet many of his friends. Ever see a bunch of Marines together? You may very well see some weird shit. My son is proud of his time in the Marines. But he couldn't wait to get out. Too much stupid shit. Too much odd behavior. Odd behavior was the culture. Good people often didn't seem to fit in.
One of my son's Marine friends would often stay at our house while in town. His family had moved to another state but his friends were all here. Since he didn't have a place to stay, we put him up. He was a sharp, well balanced guy. He made sergeant quickly and got selected for recruiting duty. He was going to make it a career, but the last time he visited us a few years ago, he said he was getting out. And he soon did. My take is that he didn't fit. He didn't want to be a yelling, screaming individual all the time.
I'm not dissing the Marines or the Navy. Not at all. Some of the best people I've ever met were in the military. But to say odd behavior is anomalous to the services and will get you kicked out is not true. I've personally seen a lot more odd behavior than anything ever exhibited by Oswald. By people who were not even considered for expulsion.
Anecdotal, but just my $0.02.

I've been reading a bit about Aspergers, granted a Wikipedia article and a couple of their External Links hardly makes me an expert, and i have absolutely no personal experience of the military but I'm slowly starting t see a great deal of merit in this line of thinking.
Hartogs diagnosis back in the Youth House, his behavior with the Kloepfer daughters, getting upset over trivialities and his icy coolness when he was arrested. And then of course there's his linguistic aptitude t take into consideration. Circumstantial, perhaps but certainly worth looking at.
Can you imagine the pressure he was under? With the whole weight of the American State bearing down on his shoulders, knowing untold millions were watching, the vast percentage of whom he probably guessed already considered him guilty, no legal representation either and i don't suppose Fritz and his good ole boys would be treating him with kid gloves. And who knows what else he might have known.
Some say it was his intelligence training kicking in, how t handle interrogations hadn't he already survived defecting t the USSR at 19?
Perhaps. But i don't think ANYONE could be adequately prepared for such exteme pressure. Imagine yourself in a similar situation. Aged only 24. Hurled headfirst into the sort of lions den that would have made Nero himself salivate with expectancy. We see his mask slipping ever so slightly when he hears he's been charged with the Presidents murder.
But he soon retains his composure.
Perhaps he had been chosen precisely because of his pecadillos. Perhaps such unnatural calmness under such extraordinary pressure was hardwired into his make up. And someone somewhere, perhaps at Atsugi, maybe even earlier had noticed. It could help explain why this otherwise anonymous Marine was picked out from the crowd. I'm not saying he was chosen t be a Presidential patsy back then but maybe his quirks and his personality traits had been noted. Perhaps he was regarded as a suitable recruit for intel work. I've read stuff by Bill Kelly about the Covert Operative Personality and how Oswald apparently fit. Maybe Aspergers had something t do with his suitability. His innate characteristics made him the perfect recruit. Someone they knew would keep calm and follow orders.
Loosing his temper over something as petty as the butter being misplaced but yet able t keep his cool under enormous pressure. With the eyes of a hostile world focused directly on him.
Of course this is all amateur psychology and hypothesising.
But i think the hypothesis has a great deal of merit.
It would help synthesis a lot of otherwise conflicting and confusing data
Greg could you possibly tell me the online diagnostic chart you used?

alex wrote:Greg could you possibly tell me the online diagnostic chart you used?
No chart - just a checklist which can be a guide to suggest testing would be advisable.
https://autism.lovetoknow.com/Aspergers_Checklist
I have done an online Aspergers Test as Lee. Here is the result.
I would be the first to say that this is not necessarily accurate because every question had to be answered, so some guessing was necessary.
That said, I do not believe it is possible for his score to be below low 30s, so at the very least, he was a possible Aspie, with a very good possibility he was in fact exactly that.
The other thing about the questionaire is that it gives you a very good idea of the areas that are the strongest indicators.
https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/autism-test/
The questions that require little or no guesswork:
I prefer to do things with others rather than on my own.
I find social situations easy.
I would rather go to a library than to a party.
I find myself drawn more strongly to people than to things.
I tend to have very strong interests, which I get upset about if I can’t pursue.
I enjoy social chitchat.
I am fascinated by numbers. (note: this is one of those things that is all but unknown. He was fascinated by numbers - especially number 3)
I don’t particularly enjoy reading fiction.
I find it hard to make new friends.
I would rather go to the theater than to a museum.
I know how to tell if someone listening to me is getting bored.
I find it easy to work out what someone is thinking or feeling just by looking at their face.
I am good at social chitchat.
People often tell me that I keep going on and on about the same thing.
I like to carefully plan any activities I participate in.
I enjoy social occasions.
I enjoy meeting new people.
I am a good diplomat.
I find it very easy to play games with children that involve pretending.

Thanks Greg. I will have a look at it. I had a vague memory of you saying youd done an Aspergers test. I remember another researcher ,an Allen Lowe(?), coming t a similar conclusion. Did you ever discuss it with him? Had he done any specific research?
T b honest with you i never really considered the Aspergers angle until now.
What really leapt out at me, among other things, was Hartogs diagnosis and his amazing calmness under such extraordinary pressure.
The more i think about it the more sense it makes. It would solve a lot of the lingering questions and conundrums regarding Oswalds personal characteristics.
Thinking about Aspergers relating t Oswalds linguistic skills I'm almost certain i remember hearing my mum talking about some study that had been carried out about this exact topic.
Its a very hazy memory and I'd have t speak t her but I'm sure some work was done, maybe a PhD thesis or an academic paper on Aspies unusual linguistic proficiency. I might only be imagining it but I'm almost certain i remember her talking about it. I can picture her speaking about it, i think one of her colleagues was involved. And that's exactly the sort of thing shed be interested in too. Leave it with me for a bit.
I'll speak t her about it, if we could discover an academic paper on the subject then it would certainly bolster the argument.
I'm not completely convinced yet but I'm beginning t give it very serious consideration.
Its vastly more probable than a multi lingual shape shifting Hungarian ( well Hungary is close enough t Transylvania..and wasn't Bela Lugosi Hungarian? Maybe Harvey was really a 400 year old vampire..I'm surprised the Singin Cowboy hasn't conducted a study on the emigration patterns of bi lingual undead doppelgangers..considering some of the inane drivel he's spouted i wouldn't be the least bit surprised..maybe we're dealing with something truly supernatural..the Armstrong Family!! JA( isn't he a millionaire?) the suave cigar smoking patriarch...Dawnie as a post menopausal Morticia..although the dresses would have t b let out a bit..and no speaking French either..she's enough fucking trouble with English..Steven Gaal as the incoherent Cousin Itt..The Fez as Uncle Fester..although his sticks the light bulbs into his ass instead of his mouth..the Singin Cowboy can borrow some of Brian's make up and Dawnies old platform boots and be Lurch..the monosyllabic dogsbody.. Albert Doyles left hand( he only ever used his right hand anyway..wink wink Evelyn) can have a cameo as Thing..Evelyn can be Morticias mother..and Brian depending on his mood and his medication can be both kids..Wednesday and Pugsley( sorry Paul T)
That would be a tv show worth watching!!!
Any ideas for a theme tune Greg? Does the Armstrong Family get the old creative juices flowing?

..i forgot old Brother Jizzy Jimmy Hargrove..The Bariloche Babe Magnet ..the way he fingered his accordion and wiggled his beard well lets just say they hadnt seen anything like it in the Reinhard Heydrich Memorial Auditorium since Albert " Der Dicke" Doyle Deutschlands no1 conjugal conjurer( coach parties welcome) dazzled them with his tricks " look mein Fuhrer nein hands!!"
Alas however the same line didn't work quite as well in a Sanibel Island Courtroom after an audiotape emerged of a 1973 children's party that left 1 dead, several traumatized for life and a pet Alsatian pregnant..
Perhaps Brother Jimmy could be Heinreich Armstrong..a distant tuba playing Prussian cousin with a bizarre taste in frocks and facial hair..
"The Kaiser and i were only ever friends..i walk with a limp for a totally different reason.." he smiles as he takes one of Cousin Pugsleys special cigars while greedily eyeing Cousin Morticias ample frontage..." Why mein leibe frau have you lost a little weight?"
Morticia giggles and hides behind her fan" how nice of you t notice..I'm down t 300lb now.."
"300lb you say?" Pugsley squeals, causing the Thing t scuttle away in terror
"I know a woman who weighs exactly the same!!"
Everyone laughs.
"But Pugsley you don't know any real women!! Apart from your mommy and of course poor cousin Annie, are you ever going t let her out her cage..."
At this point Pugsley starts crying.."its not my fault" he sniffs " it's all that Aussie Punk Troll Greg Parkers doing.."

Ha! I did questionnaire for Mason, the guy I described in my post above < https://psychcentral.com/quizzes/autism-test/ >.
I had to do a lot of guesswork, interpolation/extrapolation—it was 40 years ago—so this is nothing but a fun exercise. But he did work for me for almost two years and I did observe a lot of behaviors. And when in doubt I tended to score the slightly something choice, not the extreme definitely choice.
Mason scored a 38, exactly what Greg got for Oswald.
Again, just for fun.

All joking aside i think Greg might really be onto something with Aspergers. I hadn't given it much thought until now. And though I've only looked at it superficially its beginning t make a lot of sense.
It helps explain a lot about Oswalds character and his apparent eccentricities.
I hope i haven't just imagined speaking with my mum. I've been wracking my brain and I'm certain i did speak t her about something regarding Aspergers and linguistic proficiency.
I'm pretty certain it was a PhD thesis one of her colleagues helped advise on.
But i certainly could be mistaken. Wishful thinking grafted over a hazy memory.
The next time i speak t her I'll most definitely ask. It would really be fucking marvellous if such a study existed.
Even if it doesn't I'm really starting t think Aspergers is an angle worth pursuing.
Maybe you do have something in common with Doyle after all Greg. Prophets doomed t b ignored in their own times.
Then again maybe not.
Doyle's just a loud mouthed narcissist. His bombast conceals his shriveled self esteem. Like Pugsley Trejo. Far too stupid t realise his own limitations. Even if he did he's too much of a coward t confront them.
Unlike bitter old Tovarisch Tom Graves. He's just smart enough t realise how dumb he is. Out of morbid curiosity i once glanced at his "novel" It explained quite a lot. Turgid overwrought pretentious dross. Some of the most appallingly bad writing I'd ever had the misfortune of encountering. A tenth rate orgy of egotism and soul crushing vacuity.
He compared himself t Bohemond of Taranto, Jean Paul fucking Belmondo on steroids(!) and even Napoleon Bonaparte(!!!)
Someone with such grandiose self delusions forced t sup the dregs with Doyle on his Prayer Woman page or go trolling thru the fetid gutters with Macrae and the ever wanderin' Wonder boy Larry Trotter, well it explains so much about him.
A truly despicable character. Pathologically jealous of Jim DiE.
It takes a very special kind of foolishness for a man of 70 t remain the same fool he was aged 20

It certainly seems like it Stan. I have t b honest with you, i hadn't really given it much thought until i rejoined the forum. But when you study the individual pieces of evidence Greg has produced, well lets say the cumulative effect is certainly very compelling
I think again its a question of people allowing themselves TO be convinced.
I don't mean you JFK Case, you raised reasonable objections that i think Greg answered more than satisfactorily.
I mean the carpers and the naysayers who object t ROKCs work simply because it comes from ROKC.
Again Stan i think it boils down t those who have the eyes t see and the ears t hear.

ALEX WILSON:
Hartogs diagnosis back in the Youth House, his behavior with the Kloepfer daughters, getting upset over trivialities and his icy coolness when he was arrested.
Really? Icy cool? You must have not seen the photo of him out front at the theater when he was arrested. Check it out. If we're talking icy cool, we should talk more along the lines of T. McVeigh.

Yep, looks like a done deal around here. The consensus is LHO has Asperger's, no questions asked. No credit to Oswald for learning Russian on merit alone.

You cannot tell a person's state of mind from a single photo taken in the middle of being manhandled to a police car.JFK Case wrote:ALEX WILSON:

Being cool allows a person to think clearly as to the best course of action when in imminent danger. He did exactly the right things in calling out that he was not resisting. That possibly saved his life inside the theater - not because the cops cared if he was resisting or not, but witnesses could here him.
Let's look at What one of the arresting officers said about his demeanor when that photo was taken. "As we took him out of the show he calmed down." Nick McDonald, ROCHESTER DEMOCRAT AND CHRONICLE Sunday, Nov. 24, 1953
McDonald was there. You weren't.
Quotes from Mike Paine's testimony
"And he also then told me with a certain sadness or regret that he couldn't speak about political and economic subjects with his people, and fellows at work."
Why would that make him sad? Because he had little concept of small talk.
Mr. PAINE - Well, he was quite dogmatic. First he wanted to put me in a category. In one of the later talks--when we first met he talked very freely and then I think as we made, in later conversations, I had to do more and more of it--make more and more effort to draw something out of him. In his later conversations, Ruth found him so bothersome.
many arguments seemed to approach at that kind of a point where it is just logic or reason just didn't seem to work or hold water in this case, and we were left then with the starkness of his statement that this was an unforgivable moral sin, and he called it a moral sin or I questioned him to that effect, and so he thought it was a moral sin and he thought he was moral by adhering to that doctrine.
I noticed at times he got quite hot under the collar and I noticed that he was holding his, staying on a steady keel even better than I was, as though he had had considerable practice in sticking to, controlling himself, holding his position and not getting ruffled.
Mr. LIEBELER - So he concluded that he was unable to categorize you?
Mr. PAINE - Yes. And I also felt as soon as he had realized that that, he could then dismiss me as not something that functions in this world, not one of the forces or the opposing camps he has to contend with.
The clues are scattered throughout the records, but they are easily missed (or dismissed) if you don't recognize them as possible red flags.
The biggest clues for me are:
- His preferences for solitude as a kid
- His preference for older company as an adult
- His love of reading - especially non-fiction, philosophy, dystopian fiction, Russian classics (I do not accept that the Bond books were his)
- His troubles with Marina
- His distaste for small talk
- His planning and note taking
- His odd body positions as seen in some photos
- His losing the plot over what others would consider trivial things while remaining calm in a crisis
- His truancy
- His intellect and vocabulary
- His slight delay in academic milestones at school
- His hand-writing
- His routinely noted "oddness"
Just on that last point - I can almost guarantee that if you tried pinning people down on why they thought he was "odd", many would be unable to put it into words. It is the little things that are slightly out of kilter.
I have left the lack of eye contact out as I only have one source or that, and I have left out his language ability because I accept what Alex says is probably true - that if you have the innate ability and the determination, you could teach yourself Russian. It still needs to be noted though that such innate ability is more prevalent with those on the spectrum than it is in the general population (or at least that is the impression given in the literature and via anecdotal evidence)/
Mike wrote:Yep, looks like a done deal around here. The consensus is LHO has Asperger's, no questions asked. No credit to Oswald for learning Russian on merit alone.
With that comment, you have just jumped the shark and joined those who oppose anything that comes out of here.... because it comes out of here....
Or as Alex put it
alex wrote:I think again its a question of people allowing themselves TO be convinced.

And Jeepers Creepers Mike, what makes you think Lee gets no credit for teaching himself Russian just because of Asperger's? What a ridiculous thing to say! With or without Asperger's, he still had to teach himself.

I can't see a case for more than a 5 point margin of error in my assessment. That still puts Lee in the more likely than not category. I would assume a similar possible margin of error with what you've done, but it could be a greater margin and still fall within the spectrum.
Fun, yep. But the test was developed by the Cambridge Autism Research Center, so it's not just a parlor game but a serious tool to help those worried decide whether they should see a medical professional for a proper diagnosis.

My two cents,
Pulling his shirt up nearly over his head.
Putting a cap over his face.
Putting their hands on his face.
A face recently hit with butt of shotgun
And already punched by McDonald.
...need I continue.
Or does the corrilary disoder like a knee jerk reaction to everything contrary to a predisposition need a few more shillings

Re: Oswald's Accent

Of course Oswald didn't need t have Aspergers t learn Russian so well. Of course he could have been a gifted and industrious autodidact.
I was merely trying t say i hadn't looked at Aspergers seriously, but now that i have i can see that it makes a lot of sense. It helps explain a lot of disperate sometimes even contradictory pieces of evidence.
"Icy coolness" refered t his display after his arrest. At the Midnight Press Conference and around the DPD . I don't think you can reasonably judge someone's overall state of mind by a photo of them being bundled out of a theatre during their arrest. I think anyone's composure would be shaken.
Sure, he may have, allegedly at least , lost his cool at the so called line up and briefly let the facade slip on another couple of occasions. But overall his calmness and self possession is quite extraordinary for a person under such pressure.
Aspergers may well explain it. Especially when his other eccentricities and pecadillos are factored in.
This would include his linguistic ability.
Of course i could be wrong. We all could.
There may well indeed have been a magical multi lingual doppelganger who popped out a test tube.
And God Almighty may well be a bearded frock wearing polycephalic with a taste for Bulgarian folk music and jam butties.
I meant absolutely no disrespect t JFK Case, i was merely saying Aspergers made a lot of sense. To me.
I thought Greg had more than adequately answered his very reasonable objections.
I was referring too to the august " deep political" philosophers who peer haughtily down at ROKC thru their well polished monocles. Tutting t themselves before they return t debating the weighty issues of the day. I don't know about you all but I'm on absolute fucking tenterhooks t learn if the shadow of the limo tire was faked or if Nixon really did leave a letter announcing the alien presence buried in the Oval Office Wall.
ROKC can be irreverent but so what? There's a lot t get irreverent about. Better irreverent than irrelevant( please see Ed forum Deep Arseholes and especially the Iron cross festooned wasteland that is Der Forum for further details)
Have you read some of Doyles psychotic bile filled rants?
Or what about Hargroves and Josephs sly underhanded baiting.
In my opinion ROKC uses satire and uses it properly.
To puncture bloated foul smelling gas filled balloons.

Greg, Aspergers may well have been a contributory factor to Oswalds linguistic skill. I wasn't dismissing it, i was only trying t play Devil's Advocate. Indeed after carefully reading through your post I'm more convinced than ever.
You make a compelling, cogent case. ( the first line from my new novel " The Alliterative Minion" out next month on Quasar Books folks!!)
Nothing in my post was directed at you JFK Case. I thought your objections were very fair and well articulated. In my opinion however Greg more than satisfactorily answered them.
In my opinion. I'm hardly an expert on Aspergers and spectrum disorders and it may well turn out you are right. Oswald was simply a highly motivated, highly gifted linguist.
But having at least superficially looked at Aspergers it makes a great deal of sense. A very great deal of sense. It may explain that undefined sense of "oddness" a lot of witnesses reported.
Even before i joined i had noticed how some in " polite" society had an aversion t all things ROKC. Some it seemed had a mystic hotline t the Absolute Unalterable Deep Political Truth and prefered t spend their valuable time excoriating those unfortunate souls who hadn't. Others just needed something t believe in..Two Oswalds or the Holy Trinity..i don't think it makes much difference.
Others just like t make a lot of noise.
An awful lot of noise.

Any ideas Greg? I could definitely see Hargrove as a down on his luck producer forced t seduce old women and the Fez as the nervous accountant.

Alex - agree. The HL caper is astoundingly ridiculous. If you'd like to read a fun and funny thread on it, go here:
http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/topic/23677-a-couple-of-real-gems-from-the-harvey-and-lee-website
If you can make it through the 100 or so pages, you'll see some stuff I posted on there about it. My name there is [hint] John Boy.
Unfortunately, the guy who started it, Tom Graves, is banned there as am I. He also got banned from the JFK Index forum too because of some stuff he said to me - LOL - though I didn't report him (not sure who did or if the admin just read it and banned him). I'm sure he'll be let back on there though. After all, they did let Brian D back on :-)
And so it goes in the ongoing saga that is the JFK assassination research community.
