A Real Life Coincidence

Post by greg parker on Thu 04 May 2017, 1:06 pm

Miss Prissy's full birth name was Priscilla Mary Post Johnson.

It appears then that Miss Prissy was given the middle names after a famous teacher

In Iowa, Post met and fell in love with a politician who was a rising star in his party. While he was campaigning for an important political position, his political enemies, aware that he was about to win the election, spread a rumor that he was having an affair. While these rumors had no base, Post believed them and, deeply hurt, avoided him for the rest of her life, refusing to speak with him or respond to his letters.

Miss Prissy: Worked for and allegedly had a fling with JFK - at the time, a rising star on his party... his enemies spread rumors about his alleged infidelities (as well as about his health)...
