SERMON OF THE WEEK Cure for Sin Sickness BY REV. E. W. CAMPBELL Oak \ lew Baptist Church Text: Jeremiah 8; 19-22 * * • I am sure that there are very few people that will not agree that there is something badly wrong with this old world of curs. It doesn’t take a-master mind to see that we need a real change in the way that the people of our world are living. Jeremiah saw the sin of the people of his day and was not afraid to speak out thunderingly against it.

The search did not take long. On April 15, 1962, Oak View called Rev. E. W. Campbell as pastor. He began his service on May 7, 1962, and in August of 1962 had the church incorporated as a non-profit religious organization. Becoming an incorporated entity meant that no church member could be held responsible for paying back a loan that the church owed. During 1963, plans were made for a new two-story educational unit that was completed in 1964. It was referred to as the preschool building and today houses the choir room and adult classrooms.

From the church history page:
Several major decisions faced this small band of church planters. First they decided that the church would be a New Testament Missionary Baptist church. Then they decided to affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Dallas Baptist Association. With these affiliations, the little band became the 129th Baptist church in Dallas County. Every church needs a leader, and this one was no exception; so Reverend Holley was called as the first pastor.

I was hoping you'd post those Bart
That shows the Missouri Dr. is not our Reverend,
There is a Jr that got his degree in '64 in Maryland ,
so they must be Sr and Jr.
There was one in California and Minnesota Wisconsin in the 1920's
this Reverend though is too old, our guy as Bart showed in these pictures is not old,
Our guy was a Pastor since 1947 subtract 17 years to graduate high school and I'd say he was born in 1930-1929.
Our Reverend was at least 33 years old, yes?
so this is a pic of him in the paper in '77

We placed Michael Ralph Paine in the County Car, and Ruth Paine and Marina Oswald and her two small children into our car. We drove immediately to the City Hall and parked our car in the basement of the City Hall. We brought Michael Paine, Ruth Paine, Marina Oswald and her two small children to the third floor, Homicide and Robbery Bureau Office, and then after a few minutes moved them to the Forgery Bureau Office, due to the crowded condition of the Homicide Office, time approximately 6:00 PM. After getting the Paines and Mrs. Oswald settled and while waiting for an interpreter, we started trying to locate Wesley Frazier. We contacted Parkland and found that Wesley Frazier was not at Parkland Hospital. We made a check of the Irving Clinics and found out via phone that Wesley was at the Irving Professional Center visiting his father. Det Rose called the Irving Police Department and talked to Det. Mc Cabe, who stated that he would immediately go to the Irving Professional Center and take Wesley Frazier into custody and instructed us to call him back in 15 minutes to verify the arrest. We called Det. J. A. Mc Cabe back at about 6:45 PM, and ge informed us that he had effected the arrest of Wesley Frazier, and we could pick Frazier up at the Irving Police department. We (Dets. Rose and Stovall) drove immediately to Irving, arriving there at approximately 7:00PM. We talked to Det. Mc Cabe and he agreed to accompany us along with Wesley Frazier to the Irving Professional Center to make a search of Wesley Frazier's car, a 1954 black Chevrolet, 4 dr , License VK 3926. We made a thorough search of Frazier's car with negative results, the proceeded to Frazier's home, 2439 West 5th, Irving (1/2 block from the Paine home) and made a search of the Randle home (also Frazier home) and confiscated a 303 calibre rifle, full clip, and partial box 303 calibre ammunition belonging to Wesley Frazier (placed in Property Room). After a while Wesley Frazier's

sister, Linnie Randle, came in and she, Linnie Randle, Wesley Frazier and a Rev. Campble of the Irving Baptist Church, were brought to the City Hall, Homicide and Robbery Office, where affidavits were taken from Wesley Frazier and Linnie Randle - time approximately 9:00 PM. After finishing the affidavits, we (Dets. Rose and Stovall) started back to Irving, Texas, with the above witnesses. About midway we received a radio call to return to the office with the witnesses. We turned around at Irving Boulevard and Stemmons Expressway and drove back to City Hall, and Det. Rose called Capt. Fritz by telephone and Capt. Fritz asked that we run Wesley Frazier on the Polygraph machine. We took Frazier to the ID Bureau, and Capt. Dowdy called Det. R. D. Lewis at home. R. D. Lewis arrived on the fourth floor about 12:10 AM, 11-23-63. This examination showed conclusively that Wesley Frazier was truthful, and that the facts stated by Frazier in his affidavit were true (See his Affidavit). We took Frazier, his sister, and their minister home and got off duty at 2:00 AM.

No worries Mick!
We all gotta take a vacation now n then.
The time I called Bill Randle and got him spooked so much he wouldn't chat always makes me a bit suspicious.
Here is a public figure , one of the political elite of Irving, yet no words about his roll in the case, his story one would think he would have memorized and ready to share.
Nail meet coffin of Mr. Randle

Can't put my finger on this Ed, just plain intuition-meaningless I know- but I'd back it in Bill Randle and Linnie Mae and the good reverend Campbell were up to no good.

I'm reading that to mean the cops made checks via phone, but could it be in reverse that they made checks and someone phoned them??

Mick, I think they want us to believe they did the ring around asking if so and so was a patient there because they had already been told that Buell was visiting this patient.Mick Purdy wrote:I'm reading that to mean the cops made checks via phone, but could it be in reverse that they made checks and someone phoned them??
Or did they also ask to check if he had a visitor? Did they then ask them to see what the visitor's name was? Did they ask that they stop that visitor from leaving?
The whole thing may be entirely innocent, but it would have been nice to get all the details.
When I was a kid - here in NSW at least - hospitals had VERY strict visiting hours, once or twice a day. If memory serves, it was for an hour.
If this also applied in the US, how is Buell spending all afternoon there?

There was only a so called ring around because LMR had given them the wrong Hospital. Innocent mistake?
No matter, somehow they were informed that Frazier was at the Irving Professional center. No time indicated, but alleged around 6.00pm arrest at that location. That's a long visit. Wes left the TSBD so he says between 1-2pm - what hung about for the extended roll call. He claims he went straight home in one version and not sure in others and some he claims he visited the hospital for the duration.
I agree hospitals back then at least here in Oz and I'm assuming most places had strict visiting hours, there was no way of talking Matron around either.
I'd say the cops called Parkland, and had no luck. How'd they catch up with Wesley? Ring around -maybe. Visitors books-maybe- tip off - maybe-LMR-maybe.
Whatever they caught up with him around 6.00pm. Last known where-about's probably about 12.40pm in at the TSBD after that..who knows? Near on 5 1/2 hours to fill in.

My money's on LMR making the call.
Once she had the backstory ironed out, it was time to "allow" the cops into the mix but only on her terms.
I can't see the cops calling around to all the hospitals and such - un;ess they were already familiar with Buell's dad's location. And if that is the case, it sounds even more suspicious.

LMR stinks.....For whatever the reason might have been she bought time. It is a fact that she did that. Reason could have been innocent but in effect that is what she did. It's no stretch to believe she phoned in to the cops about Frazier's exact location - his where-about's when she was done with her business and was happy to release the hounds on Wesley.

Rose-Stovall-Adamcik - Page 4
sister, Linnie Randle, came in and she, Linnie Randle, Wesley Frazier and a Rev. Campble of the Irving Baptist Church, were brought to the City Hall, Homicide and Robbery Office, where affidavits were taken from Wesley Frazier and Linnie Randle - time approximately 9:00 PM
So let's get this straight. Frazier is picked up at the Irving police station after his arrest at about 7.00pm by Rose and Stovall and taken to Irving Professional Centre where he'd left his car and the cops searched the car with negative results, whatever that means. They then proceeded to the Randle house.. Rose and Stovall find a weapon and Ammo and confiscate those items. Now whilst at the house The Rose Stovall report says:
After a while Wesley Frazier's sister, Linnie Randle, came in and she, Linnie Randle, Wesley Frazier and a Rev. Campble of the Irving Baptist Church, were brought to the City Hall, Homicide and Robbery Office,
This can be read a number of ways, but If I'm not mistaken Is this not saying that Linnie Mae and the Reverend were at the house when The cops came along and arrived with Frazier.
"She came in" - is that not someone entering the room or even the house most likely with the good Reverend after a while, after they'd made the search of the house.
Linnie Mae was a thoughtful sister, she had organised the Rev just in case he might be needed. Intuition perhaps? She know that Wesley had been arrested? She know they were going down town?
What Frazier phoned through to LMR from Irving Police Station, allowed a call was he?
