ROBERT EDWARD JETT JR.
Sun 25 Jul 2021, 4:37 pm
Bob Jett a reporter for WRR FM Dallas Mutual Radio was according to Gary Mack
"Having lunch in the south knoll parking lot"
Actual accounting by Jett in an oral history to Sixth Floor Museum and Mack differences are appreciated here.
WRR radio reporter Bob Jett was near the south pergola and said in an oral history that the shots came from the Elm-Houston area. . . . He was on the small side street behind the wall east of the south pergola

So he was in a large White station wagon with Lights and WRR on it.
Definitely not parked in South Knoll parking lot and actually not even close to possible SK shot origin.
Definitely not in Cancellare
He was parked across from Terminal Annex DMN building off the Commerce Extension (yellow circle) and mentioned pergola and he being behind wall (yellow arrow)

Thanks for the new info Ed.
Perhaps interesting to note that the sound of gunfire originating from the South Pergola parking lot (the lot by the railroad, not the Commerce St. extension where Jett was) looks as though it would likely bounce off the facade of the nicely positioned TSBD to direct the echo back to Jett's ears. Maybe that's what he heard.

Good point Jake.
I don't want to belittle the man ...but
If he didn't "watch" the parade he might have had the a/c on and windows rolled up.
If you catch my drift.
He was likely going along with the generally acceptable location if he did not perceive the shots origin outside the "echo chamber."
I am glad he cleared up his exact location as Gary Mack had been using it as a foil for anyone using the SK parking lot as a sniper position.
(from a car trunk like Beltway Snipers even)
Thusly it does not preclude a suppressor being used. As second shot and echo would cover a silenced one from SK.
