This involves Sirhan’s notebook and his “automatic” writing that some think he did in a hypnotic state, specifically where he wrote what was described as De De De Salvo. It was suggested that this referred to Albert De Salvo - the Boston Strangler who supposedly had a connection to a hypnotist, Joseph Bryan Jr. used by the CIA in MK Ultra mind control operations and who supposedly had bragged to two prostitutes about hypnotizing De Salvo. Supposedly Sirhan was programmed by this guy to shoot Robert Kennedy after being given a signal by a girl in a polka dot dress. I saw the automatic writing in a book years ago, I can’t find it anywhere now. I think it was in Sybil Leek’s book The Assassination Chain, I’m not positive. But what if Sirhan wrote De Silva? Peer De Silva was a notorious CIA agent. My research shows that he replaced CIA agent Frank Wisner after Wisner committed suicide in 1965. Wisner was one of the “old hands” from the OSS. He was involved with sneaking Nazis intelligence agents and Nazi collaborators into the US starting in the late 1940’s and in assassinations.
De Silva was sent to Vietnam as CIA chief of station right after JFK was assassinated and was involved in the Phoenix Program. According to The Encyclopedia of Intelligence and Espionage by O ‘Toole he returned to the US in 1968 and a year later was Chief of the CIA Clandestine Service in San Francisco.
Can anyone find a copy of Sirhan’s automatic writing? What does it look like? De Salvo or De Silva?

I don't believe he was hypnotized by anyone but himself as per AMORC practice. Joseph Bryan, Jr was nothing but a self-promoting blowhard whose own ability at hypnosis was so poor that his attempts to hypnotize women into sex backfired when n 1969 the California Board of Medical Examiners found him guilty of unprofessional conduct for sexually molesting four women patients who submitted under hypnosis - but still apparently recalled everything.Steven Uanna wrote:This involves Sirhan’s notebook and his “automatic” writing that some think he did in a hypnotic state, specifically where he wrote what was described as De De De Salvo. So... I would think there is a better chance that he was trying to say "de Silva" - BUT if he was trying to say deSalvo, it was only because he had read about him being hypnotized. It may have even been a topic of discussion in the crowd he hung out with.
Interesting that de Silva started his intel career in the Manhattan Project (which is far more important than most realize, to the JFK case) - and finished it in Australia with the election of a Socialist Labor government - which was taken down - probably - by the CIA - 3 years later.

Back to Sirhan. Some interesting comments based on the memories of Sirhan neighbors.
Years later, I recited all this to my father's brother, Richard, in Pasadena, California, and a peculiar look came over his face. He told me of how, sometime before the RFK assassination, he and the rest of my cousins lived across the street from Sirhan Sirhan's family. Yes, unknown to my father or me, down in LA other members of our family knew Sirhan Sirhan quite well.
Uncle Richard had moved into a large house in Pasadena with his wife, daughter, her husband, and their two teenage girls. (Only my aunt lives there now.) There was a Palestinian family already living across the street, and they had a few sons---including Sirhan---who helped them (author's cousins) to move the furniture in.
When I had the opportunity, I asked my first cousin about that assocation and what it was like to be on that block when RFK was assassinated at the Ambassador Hotel. My first cousin told me that, although she was certainly shocked to hear on the news that it was Sirhan who was arrested for the assassination, she had no hesitation in crossing the street to console his mother. Cousin Mary also added (with an especially detailed observation quite charateristic of that side of our family) how peculiar it all seemed, as Sirhan's family had such a strong regard for life that they had not even bothered to disturb a bee colony that had somehow managed to establish itself in the house.
As to why RFK was shot, if one subscribes to the view that Sirhan did it (and I do), the best theory I've heard so far is that it was partly about his family once having to live in a refugee camp for Palestinians, partly about him being emotionally unstable, and partly about Robert Kennedy being seen on televison by Sirhan as the senator promised to get behind an effort to send more jets to Israel.
"And what of the police and FBI?" I asked Mary, "They must certainly have pestered you often with that incredibly thorough investigation that they all say they conducted."
"Police? FBI?" my cousin responded. "No, none of them ever came to see us."

I am still trying to find the page of Sirhan’s automatic writing to see whether it looks like de Salvo or de Silva. I think the Albert de Salvo story may be a smoke screen - limited hangout, it leads off into hypnotism and MK-ULTRA and Joseph Bryan and covers up the little known CIA scoundrel Peer de Silva. Yes, he was involved in the Manhattan Project. And he was on the mission to Nagasaki with my father that investigated the Japanese Atomic Bomb. The book by Robert Wilcox JAPAN’s SECRET WAR says he stayed behind after the rest of the mission went back to the States and sent a message that the Japs had a very advanced program. It was in Korea at the Chosen Reservoir. According to Wilcox it was captured by the Russians. I have a picture on Wikimedia - Category:Bud Uanna of my father in a geisha house while on the mission to Japan. Seated next to him is Robert Serber who was Robert Oppenheimer’s protege. The man behind my father look looks like Peer de Silva. There are few pictures de Silva but it looks like him to me. Japanese atomic bomb was a smaller “tactical bomb” which Wilcox claims they tested right at the time of our larger A Bomb attack on Hiroshima is one of the biggest secrets of WW II and the Cold War and is a lynchpin in the anti communist Cold War propaganda that portrayed the Japanese and the Germans as necessary allies against the Russians. de Silva and another scoundrel Boris Pash who led the Alsos Mission and said the Germans were not close to an A Bomb but at the same time he destroyed tons of German documents, nboth men were in Army Intelligence before the war. They got into the CIC but most of the CIC were new recruits , including my father. de Silva and Pash went into the blue blood establishment OSS after the war and then the CIA. The CIC and CIA were very different organizations. The OSS would never reveal what they knew about the Jap A Bomb because it didn’t fit into the story concocted by the OSS Cold Warriors, and diverted attention from prewar collaboration with blue bloods in the US with the Fascists in Europe. Nor would they reveal anything about UFO’s. According to the book Above Top Secret by Timothy Good on p. 329 OSS Chief “Wild Bill” Donovan dismissed the “WW II “Foo Fighters” as harmless and later in 1947 after the Kenneth Arnold sighting he said UFO’s needed to be debunked, and psychological warfare was brought to bear.

So the authorities did not interview anybody who might go against the official story. Business as usual.

Yes. Sirhan worked at a bookstore for a time, and got into the occult there. I’m wondering if it was Book Soup on Sunset Strip. That’s where Oliver North’s secretary Fawn Hall works now. She married Danny Sugarman, a former manager of the rock group the Doors. He even dressed up like Jim Morrison, who it has been suggested did not really die of a drug overdose. Fawn and Jim are both from the same neighborhood, Annandale, Virginia. Jim’s dad was involved with the Gulf of Tonkin incident and Fawn’s mother Wilma was Henry Kissinger’s Secretary. Her father was the main still photographer for the Pentagon and traveled with the top brass photographing them at parties and events. Looking into Sirhan’s activities and the people he knew was probably not not a good idea.
If you read McGowan’s book Weird Scenes inside the Canyon you find a lot of the counterculture scene was manipulated by sons and daughters of wealthy old money “first families” here in America. Annandale, Virginia is inside the Capitol Beltway and seems to play into this manipulation in big way.
