Yeah, he's part Norman Gunston and part Sir Les Paterson.

I was a young lad working in the media when Gunston was still at his peak. He turned up at a few pressers I did way back when. He was awesome, more front than Myers. He had everyone in fits of uncontrollable laughter...he was the real deal.

Yep to all that. You know how good he is when you see one or two of his interview subjects unable to stop laughing-one to the point that he can hardly get a question out.

I miss the Australia we had in the 70s too, Mick. It was a good place.

From IMDB on the Aunty Jack Show where Norman Gunston was created. The show itself was another favorite of the era, though possibly eclipsed by the Gunston spinoff.
