Oswald's wedding ring up for auction
Thu 06 Feb 2020, 12:07 am
I wonder if the TSBD know about this. Good chance it's a second ring, so which one is legit?

Don't know how I missed seeing this until now.Phil Hopley wrote:I wonder if the TSBD know about this. Good chance it's a second ring, so which one is legit?

Wow!
Unbelievable. The 6th Floor Museum claims to have the same documentation that is listed with this.
I can only imagine that the person who bought it at auction in 2013, had loaned it to the museum and is now looking to offload it.
Doesn't matter if it is one or two. Oswald never owned a wedding ring.

The auction house listed an email address for inquiries about items for sale, so I sent the following inquiry:Ed. Ledoux wrote:Good find Phil!

Hi Sue,
just wondering if this is the ring that has been on display at the 6th Floor Museum in Dallas?
Also wondering how the ring has been authenticated - a photo showing Oswald wearing it for example would be ideal.
Thanks,
Greg

The auction house has not replied to my reply to the initial response.Ed. Ledoux wrote:Any bites?

The auction is now listed as closed but no result yet posted.
Meanwhile, the 6th Floor Meseum still has it listed as being on display.
But the ring at auction has to be the same ring because the same "authentication" goes with it that the museum initially told me they also had. It seems like Mr Fagin is just a slackarse. and hasn't adjusted the we page information accordingly.
