Jim DiEugenio requested that I post the cover to his new book "Reclaiming Parkland" on the forum. Looks pretty nice to me.

Reclaiming Parkland - Page 2 Empty Re: Reclaiming Parkland

Fri 02 Aug 2013, 11:47 pm
You know, I have to say one of the most fascinating parts of the research was reading Helter Skelter.  I had never read that book before.  But as I was reading it, the more and more skeptical I became.  Working the JFK, RFK and MLK beat kind of tunes you into stuff that somehow does not ring true or seems to be concealing something else.

Well, by the time I finished that book, I had written down 15 things that I thought were alarm bells.

So I visited some web site on that case and I found out that many of those aficiandoes feel about Bugliosi as we do.  One actually called Helter Skelter a novel.  So I started doing some research in the field.  Today, I think its a cover up book. And I think its main thesis is ludicrous.  Does everyone here know that Manson never  killed anyone?  In fact, he was not even at the Tate home the night of the murders.

I discovered that two of the victims that night were drug dealers: Sebring and Frykowski.  Sebring was dealing cocaine and Frykwoski was dealing something called Sass, the forerunner of today's Ecstasy. The morning after the murders, two women went to Sebring's house separately.  One went for Steve McQueen, the other for the Mafia.  They wanted to be sure that there were no drugs left at Sebring's house.  And they got to his secret compartment where he kept them and when the cops got there, it was empty.

The girl who went for the Mob, worked for Sebring. But she was also the friend of Joel Rostau.  Rostau had delivered a stash of drugs to the Tate home the day of  the murders.  He was supposed to come back with more, but he did not.

On the eve of the Manson trial, Rostau was found dead.  He was clubbed to death, stripped to his underwear and stuffed into the back of a rented car at JFK airport in New York. Clearly a Mob hit.

You will not find Rostau's name in all 630 pages of Helter Skelter.

I wasn't aware of that, Jim. Bugliosi is one hell of a liar, but that kook DVP worships him. Go figure.

Funny.  I have asked this question of three people in two days.

Everyone thinks that Manson is some kind of cold blooded killer.  Not true.

The reason he is in jail is because of the vicarious liability clause of the conspiracy statute.  Which means every person is responsible for the crime who talks about it in advance, even if they are not there when it happens.

But the point is this: Bugliosi's reason for the crime happening was a bunch of BS.  I am convinced of that today after reading the book and investigating what he left out of it.  I am also convinced that what was left out, was left out on purpose.  And that is how he convicted Manson.  The other reason he did it was to protect some very rich and powerful people in the LA music and entertainment industry.

I mean anyone who reads that book today, and buys that nutty motive of The Beatles made them do it, geez, how stupid can people be?  Well, as we have found out in the JFK case, the answer is "pretty stupid".  Especially when the media is there to aid the stupidity.

I can't really do that right now.

BUt concerning Bugliosi and his career that is in Part 1.

Part 1 is about how Bugliosi's book came about and how it was sold to Playtone.  And I do in depth bios of Bugliosi and Hanks.  In Chapter 1, entitled The Prosecutor, that is where I go into all this BS about Helter Sklelter, and I go into Bugliosi's political campaigns, which he does not like to talk about,  When you read what i dug up, you will know why.

In that Part, in Chapter 3, I also do an in depth examination of that phony London trial that caused his crappy book. And I show how a really knowledgeable lawyer would have demolished the prosecution case.  DVP will be really up in arms about that one. Because he has it on You Tube. Wait until he sees the comments he gets from informed readers from my book.

BTW, I already have an invite from cable TV to do a spot.

Actually, it may be more than that.

It seems my book is raising some interest because of its provocative title and the fact both Hanks and Bugliosi are in the sub title.

SO let us keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

My fingers are crossed, Jim. It's kind of a shame about Tom Hanks. I actually liked him because I thought he was a great actor. But if you're going to lie and distort evidence about the most significant political assassination in modern times, then you don't have my respect.

This was one of the most interesting parts of my research.  What I found out about Hanks and hs buddy Spielberg.

Something I left out of the book is this.  hanks named his two sons from his second marriage Theodore rand Truman.

And that is really all you need to know about him to understand his view of American history.

Truman dropped the two A bombs and Roosevelt screwed Colombia out of its northern province  when they voted not to sell it to use for the Panama Canal.  He then faked a rebellion with help from the French and sent ships into the Caribbean to stop the Colombian army from restoring order.

That is who Tom Hanks really is.

Well said, Jim.

Colombian history is entirely relevant to the Kennedy hits.

Edit to add: no sarcasm should be read into that. It really is relevant.

The trailer for Parkland the movie is out:

It looks like it's going to be one VERY shit movie. I can't wait to read what Jim Di wrote about Hanks and Bugliosi in his book.

By the way, that trailer looks even worse than the script I read.

They have really tried to jazz it up with editing and sound effects.

Reclaiming Parkland is shipping.

In fact it has gone out on Kindle already.

I am doing an interview with Allison Wiener tomorrow of Huffpo.

Let you know how it turns out.

There is an interesting backstory to the book that is being published.

Will let you know about it soon.

That was the most refreshing part - an interviewer who actually knew the subject matter! Great stuff!

See if you can get Stone to reshoot the lunchroom encounter scene!

(Okay, So Gary Oldman may need a lot more make-up...)

if the second Interview is as good as the first, I hope other talking head shows jump on the Jimmy di bandwagon and have you on as a guest as well...
