Warren Hasty Carroll
Sun 7 Jul - 7:20
Warren Hasty Carroll was once employed by the CIA’s anti-communism division as a communist propaganda analyst. He was also, according to Larrie Henry Schmidt, a member of CUSA (Conservatism USA). Between 1967 and 1972, he served on the staff of Ultra-conservative US congressman, John G. Schmitz. Schmitz was a member of the John Birch Society, but was kicked out because he was far too conservative even for them. In 1968, Carroll converted to Catholicism, and in 1977, founded the Christendom College; a Catholic liberal arts College.

The following is a Biography of Carroll by a graduate of Christendom College named Michael N. Kelsey:

In the following letter to Bernard Weissman by Larrie Schmidt, Schmidt claims that “Larry [Jones] and Warren [Carroll] are getting along beautifully.” In the same letter, Schmidt writes that Carroll has replaced the Vice chairman of the South West region of YAF (Young Americans for Freedom), and that he was employed by H.L Hunt’s Ultra-right wing radio show Life-Line as a script writer. (It is also perhaps worth noting that Jack Ruby was allegedly influenced to shoot Oswald after reading an editorial by Carroll named “Heroism”).

Carroll’s association with Larrie Schmidt and Life-Line was confirmed by Richard K. Marks, an assistant Cashier at the Republic national Bank, Dallas, Texas.

Interestingly, Carroll had a nephew named James Watson from Virginia. There was a DPD detective named James C. Watson, and a James Watson who was residing at 1026 North Beckley with Herbert Lee.

Herbert Lee’s interview with the FBI concerning James Watson and Oswald (I haven’t found any FBI interview with Watson).

I’m not saying that the James Watson at 1026 North Beckley was Carroll’s nephew, only that he could have been. The following is from the MFF:
“On 11/22/63, resident of 1026 N. Beckley. In December 1963, he worked for Trinity Flooring Company, 127 Oregon St., Dallas, TX. In 1963 Dallas telephone directory, there is a James Watson at 4727 Homer (Jack Ruby had lived there). In 1961, James M. Watson had lived at 3525 Travis, Apt. 103, where Juanita Buchanan lived in Apt. 1115. Doris Anglin's address re CD 105, p. 277. Declan Ford gave James Watson as a reference when applying for passport 10/10/57 at U.S. Consul's office, Madrid. (James Watson, 5625 Daniels, Dallas. This was once address of Declan Ford.) 1961 City Directory: James W. Watson, wife Lorraine, petroleum engineer, DeGolyer & MacNaughton, 6631 Orchid Lane, Dallas, TX.”
I don’t know if the above concerning Ford and Watson is true, but what’s interesting is that Declan Ford and his wife, Katherine Ford, had Marina Oswald living with them Between November 11 and 17, 1962, at their home, after Oswald allegedly beat her up.

Like Larry Jones, Warren Carroll was never interviewed by the FBI, and IMO, deserves closer scrutiny from researchers.

Greg,
Warren Carroll was the son of an author famous in her time, 1935, and the head of the Univ. of New Hampshire Dept, of psychology, Herbert A. Carroll. Warren, his sister Sarah Carroll Watson, and their mother and father were all alumni of Bates College. Warren's sister's obit.

I wonder how Warren managed to become so intense, put politely.
Warren Carroll's sister died during the same summer he died. Her son was James Watson.
Her obit states she married Hazen Watson in 1963. He lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. His father Elmer Hazen Watson was a longtime mathematics teacher and dept. head at Saugus High School in Massachusetts.
Elmer's son Hazen Lee graduated from that school in 1958. A man with the identical name was a student there in 1921, but Hazen Lee Watson's father, Elmer, was just a boy in 1921 and lived in Maine.

This editor is new and as I understand it, they are trying to fix problems as they are identified. For now, try paste in plain text (right click on mouse). Hopefully then, you can edit and format as you like. If these problems with posting persist, I will turn the editor off.
