William A. Hyde, who was born in Palo Alto, Calif. in 1902 died Thursday at the Yellow Springs Friends Care Center. He came to Yellow Springs as the center's first resident in October 1980. Mr Hyde remembered the family chimney crumbling in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. He graduated from Stanford University with a degree in chemical engineering in 1924. I see he's up to his usual standards of selective quoting and editing.

He'd have been right at home authoring the WCR.

What has got him hot all hot under the collar is my pointing to Ruth's divorce papers which gave the grounds for divorce as being Mike's  cruel, harsh and tyrannical treatment of her. DVP points out that this is just the terminology needed in order to be granted a divorce. But that's something I've always been well aware of, since we had the same  "fault" laws here (back in the dark ages). Big fucking deal. It's either a lie or it's not a lie. Either she's a liar or Mike was guilty of domestic violence. And isn't it also true that you need witnesses to establish such fault in divorce proceedings? 

The only reason it matters at all is that Ruth has sold herself as being a paragon of truthfulness because her religion will not allow a lie to pass her lips. 

Don't you love how DVP is so desperate, he ends up claiming that Mike may well have been a wife-beater?
