Let's put this muthafuckin' baby to bed right here and now.
This is Tony Krome replying to Michael Griffith at the 13 Head Emporium.
This is from Oswald's Albert Schweitzer College application
"OTHER LANGUAGES YOU KNOW - RUSSIAN (EQUAL IN FLUENCY TO ONE YEAR OF SCHOOLING)"
What did Tony find? You need one year @3 hours per day to reach fluency in Russian.
But Oswald did not say he had a year of "schooling". He said he had EQUAL to a year. In other words, he crammed a years worth of Russian lessons into a shorter period. The very way he framed this, is evidence of intense training equivalent to a years worth.
As shown by myself and Jim Purtell, Oswald had the opportunity during alleged brig time for 6 weeks of immersion training or 6 weeks of classroom training. Either of those options were available through the Marines. This was followed by 6 months of supported self-learning, based on the statements of those who served with him. That was followed by his Russian test.
We also showed that his test results were NOT as poor as we are led to believe, as those results would have qualified him for a monthly allowance. https://i.servimg.com/u/f71/19/74/07/06/oswald14.png
Here is more on how the US military fast-tracks learning difficult languages
Yes, it talks about the DLI. If that is where LHO had to go for immersion or classroom teaching, it was certainly doable from Japan as a flight would have been no more (and probably less) than 16 hours even with stopovers. Recall that he had 6 weeks brig-time +3 days. One day getting there, one day debriefing, one day returning.
After this training is where the following kicked in - per Zack Stout to the HSCA
End of debate. If Lifton, the H & L crowd and the Nutters want to keep arguing among themselves, they should at least stop sucking up bandwith and take their bullshit offline.
I do note however that there were some sane and sensible contributions to that thread. Well done to those guys trying to be "heard" over the noise.

They are just muddying the waters. Some might even be doing it on purpose.

That was followed by his Russian test, which is exactly how the schedule works (see linked article in opening post)
