G'day,
I have to say I find it oh so mildly amusing reading some of the comments, thoughts and rants associated on other forums regarding Prayer Man / Oswald on the front steps. It's sad really, watching people who have spent a lifetime married to an idea or a theory, only to witness that idea or theory shattering into a thousand pieces and not accepting the inevitable singular conclusion which is staring them in the face. To Greg Parker, Sean Murphy and all the other amazing researchers following the path of truth in this case I tips me Lid.

They’re going wild over this and Hosty’s note. I mean you would think that any new evidence is ultimately good for the historicity of the case itself...

Hats off to Alan Ford. He's playing a blinder regarding Prayer Man at the MacRae forum.
Re: Prayer Man

He is indeed Goban, he has crushed Doyle's lies and make believe BS and MacRap's simplistic windups completely.
I see that MacRap after our posts has upped the ante by reintroducing the thread with nothing on offer, just utter garbage and Doyle while foaming at his mouth uncontrollably rants like the deluded nutcase he is that it is high time for him to be sent off to his padded cell again. Utter loon.....makes Cinque look sane.

I’ve just been prompted by a post at the EF to look up the term, ‘Dunning-Kruger effect’ and found this in Wikipedia:
“In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have illusory superiority and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority comes from the inability of low-ability people to recognize their lack of ability… “
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect
John Cleese explains it very well here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvVPdyYeaQU
I was just wondering if there was anyone we know who evinces signs of the Dunning-Kruger effect – in other words someone who constantly says he is superior to everyone else in the field of JFK research but who doesn’t quite live up to that description.

Dunning-Kruger must be Ma Doyles maiden name, Goban.

The desperation of the Prayer Man deniers at the MacRae forum knows no bounds.
There’s Doyle still trying to bury the irrefutable evidence of the Hosty note with his usual balderdash. Scully is at the same thing with his trademark data dumps.
And MacRae has pitched in with his “Pre-Parade” concoction. Despite the fact that he's already hinted it’s a wind-up for Doyle’s benefit, along the lines of his buttons hoax, he (MacRae) is still pushing it.
He must be hoping Doyle is stupid enough to fall for it.

Yes Vinny. With a level playing field Brian and Walter have unleashed a tsunami of bullshit in order to deny the obvious. Mr Ford can consider his work done, sit back from a safe distance, and enjoy the mess. If he wishes...Vinny wrote:Now Walt is claiming that those are not Hosty's notes but Bookhout's notes. Bill Lovelady:
HSCA Interview.
Audio:
https://youtu.be/CLk76aWuM5s
TC: 21:30 and also at 1:25.50
Was there anyone on the steps that you didn't recognise
"No"
And follows up with saying they were all employees of the TSBD
One minute after that whether he has seen LHO on those steps to which eh replies No
Then could he have been there without seeing him: Could have.

Also remember in his WC testimony he gets cut off when he is about to name somebody standing right behind him.

It's a fair bet that some of these guys might have seen the guy who stood at the top of the stairs in that corner in the shadows. But who'd dare speak up? If it were me I'd be reticent. They all knew by early Friday evening on the 22nd what the score was.

Mr. Ball :With reference to where he was at the time the President was shot, did he tell you what floor of the building he was on?
Mr. Fritz: I feel sure that he told me he was on the second floor.
Mr. Ball: Look at 136B.
Mr. Fritz: All right, sir.
Mr. Ball: The second paragraph down, 136B.
Mr. Fritz: Yes, sir; second floor; yes, sir. He said he usually worked on the first floor. I asked him what part of the building at the time the President was shot. He said he was having lunch at about this time on the first floor.
(Warren Commission Hearings and Exhibits, vol.4, p.231)

- Eddie Piper claimed that Oswald told him that he was going to eat his lunch at about mid–day (WCHE, vol.19, p.499).

an affidavit on the day after the assassination, Charles Givens claimed that he saw Oswald “in the domino room where the employees eat lunch about 11:50 A.M.” (Commission Document 5, p.329).

Oswald’s claim was corroborated by the accounts of two black employees who matched these descriptions: James Jarman was known as ‘Junior’, and Harold Norman was short (Jarman: WCHE, vol.3, pp.201–202; Norman: WCHE, vol.3, pp.189–190). Both men had been standing outside the TSBD, waiting to see the president. When they heard that the motorcade had reached Main Street, they decided to go back into the building to obtain a better view. Jarman stated that he was standing outside “until about 12:20, between 12:20 and 12:25”. Police logs report that the motorcade was crossing Live Oak Street, about one minute from Main Street, at 12:22 (Commission Exhibit 705, p.72 [WCHE, vol.17, p.461]),
